This crappy place is not an hotel or B&B, it´s just a dirty apartment with 3 bedrooms where you rent one of them and share the kitchen and bathroom with other people. So don´t expect any kind of privacy. There is not reception or signs and the owner does not answer to his phone so we had to wait hours before we were able to be received. The owner also smokes all the day in the kitchen and the smoke fill the bedroom too...and if you leave the windows open you will be invaded by mosquitos. Dogs barking all the night long!! That was a nightmare, not a vacation!

This is not a B&B or Hotel, what you get it´s a room inside a dirty and loud apartment far from the center. We also had many problems in finding this place and when we finally arrived there wasn't anybody waiting for us. There is not a reception and the owner did not answer to our hundreds of calls. We had to ask to the neighbors and had to wait about 2h before someone let us in. That one was the worst way to start a vacation!

Terrible experience, dishonest owner, and rude housekeeping lady. What was supposed to be a relaxing arrival and relaxing vacation in this place turned into a nightmare. This is what happened: First of all, this place was difficult to find because it did not have a check-in office or front desk. When we finally found the place we were stunned to find that we had to share the condo with other guests instead of what they actually advertised and what i actually booked which was a "private condo/hotel" not a share the condo and bathroom with other people. After arriving Rosa the check-in and housekeeping lady counted how many people we were and then she said "but I don't have space for all of you, I can't accommodate you guys" (translating from Spanish) so I was once again stunned. I showed her my confirmed reservation for ALL 8 people! Still she said they were all booked and I had to wait until the next day to see if they could accommodate us. As we were talking my kids made the mistake of sitting on the couch! Rosa told them to get up and that they could not sit because we had not check in yet. As a result, I had to take my kids outside so the could sit on the curb. I came back in and I ask Rosa to show us the rooms to see if we could all spend the night there but she said that before she could show me the rooms I had to check-in, sign a 10,000 pesos voucher, and giver her our identifications. After trying to solve the problem, dealing with her rudness, and breathing the smoke of her cigar she called the owner because I demanded to speak to someone who could actually solve my problem. Finnaly, the owner MARCO AGATE arrived. We talked about the issues and at the time he apologized for the inconvenience. We talked about them not having the rooms ready for us and how we were deceived about the "private condo" because all of this he agreed to return our money $30,000 he wrote a statement in a piece of paper and signed it but now he has backed up and is refusing to return my MONEY arguing that we never set a foot in his place and that we broke the "contract". So far I have not been able to get in contact with him anymore because he does not answer my calls. Please be aware of this dirt bag and leech who makes money taking advantage of hard working people.

It's very clean. Aircon works, which is great! Instructions to check-in were non existent. Waited outside, not knowing what to do. Their mobile phones don't always work. Not responsive to requests. Bring your own toiletries. Zero water pressure!

Wonderful place that feels like home away from home. Close to the beach and city center, yet can accommodate a relaxing and quiet time. The staff was very helpful during check in and our entire stay. Great pool in the back yard with more privacy than you'd get at a typical hotel. Will definitely return next time we're in Playa del Carmen!

THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!!! BEWARE!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND CANCEL YOUR BOOKING AND NEVER RESPOND TO CALLS AND EMAILS AGAIN. The person (Marco?) who responds to negative reviews is an absolute liar. You can see he responds and calls customers idiots and other names. FRAUDULENT at the very least.

The man at the reception (he called himself Marco only after I asked him - not introduced himself) was incredibly rude to me, so that I just felt it dangerous to stay in the house in his presence and preferred to went away, without checking in. Owners should take care about whom they employ. Not recommended for a single woman.

I was a guest at the Dolce Vita Caribe in Dec. 2021, and will share the good, bad, and ugly of my stay. Marco, here’s the good. The views from the bedroom balcony as I looked down at the swimming pool were beautiful. The pool was maintained daily, and we enjoyed it. On day one, I saw a cat at the screen door, waiting. Once outside, I saw cat food, and every day, I fed that cat and even named it Patience, because the cat patiently waited to be fed. We also waited patiently for our chef to feed us and the staff prepared authentic breakfast and dinner meals. Delicious food, professional staff. I enjoyed this the most. The bad. Sorry, Marco, bathroom towels and wash cloths were subpar. White and faded (or yellowish), I was reluctant to use them, but hadn't packed any. By midweek my towel was replaced with a thicker golden one. I felt more comfortable using it, but never the washcloths. I bought my own at Walmart. No toiletries, like soap, but I always pack my own. The beds. Mattresses were okay here and there; some were uncomfortable. A single top sheet as a covering was insufficient. I froze the first couple of nights! Didn't run air conditioning or the ceiling fan and during those initial chilly nights. I highly recommend you add blankets to each bedroom; I bought a throw cover from Walmart for an added layer. The televisions: I don't watch much back home, but we discovered an English-speaking channel that ran reruns, and for some, that was a problem. Marco, I recommend a television guide and a how-to guide on how to use the remote controls. As you know, with different televisions, the operation is slightly different. The ugly. Coming from the U.S., I wasn't aware of the septic issues in Mexico and was surprised to see signs informing us not to flush toilet paper. This made for a nasty and biohazard-type situation whenever we needed to handle our business. Marco, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you supply a stash of mini plastic bags (those that dog walkers use to scoop poop). We obeyed the rules here and didn't flush toilet paper as instructed. I brought a supply of plastic grocery bags from home, but never would imagine that I would need them for this. The bathroom sink routinely stayed clogged, and I didn't see any cleaning supplies or drainage product to fix this problem, but I did figure it out. I also took cold showers for the first couple of days, until eventually, hot water made its way out the pipes. Never knew what that was about, but my mother’s bathwater stayed cold throughout. Marco, I would recommend that you consider implementing some changes that I wrote about. Details matter. I do believe we left the villas in good condition. I even cleaned my room before I left, ensuring all trash was removed (including food in the refrigerator). We noticed microscopic crawlers on the kitchen counter, so we were mindful of leaving food out. We supplied all paper towels, napkins, dish detergent, paper plates, cups, trash bags, and cutlery too, but forgot about bug spray and fresh dish cloths; we even bought toilet paper! Some of the guests bought beach towels and pool toys (and left some of this behind) courtesy of Walmart. Marco, there was no towel damage to your supply here (besides the inferior quality of the towels I spoke about). We even left unopened bottles of drinks behind (like a bottle of water or two, tea, and aloe vera juice). There was no damage to the walls or flooring in these villas. We enjoyed and respected your accommodations. As a guest, it was disappointing to learn that a security deposit was withheld due to false accusations of damaged towels and walls. I'd, for one, would like to see the evidence because I took plenty of pictures during my stay and can post them later. .
