Old world style architecture with a modern flare. The food and accommodations are first class. Great find in a hidden gem of a city.

The only thing boutique about this place is the price. Service is ok, but the room and amenities are not worth the price tag. Avoid it if you can. Nevertheless restaurant Aperi is a must.

Pésima experiencia. No había agua caliente, el cuarto de a la calle mas transitada de san miguel y las ventanas no cierran. Quedaron de arreglar todo y no hicieron nada!!! No vale lo que cuesta. Worst experience. There was no hot water in the room, the room faces one of the bussiest street in town and the Windows do not close. I reported the issues and They promise to fix it and it was not done. Why do They think that by putting the name boutique it will be a better hotel and besides They charge for the name boutique. It is a steal!!!!

Rooms (most of which face the restaurant and have little light) and hotel is just okay. Many better options in San Miguel for the price. Also they advertise the rooftop terrace but there is no furniture so can’t really use it.

This is definitely a 5 star hotel and restaurant. We had the pleasure of staying in the townhome which has incredible views, a private terrace and a hot tub. The staff was exceptional and they had every detail covered. Ask for Miguel, he is definitely the best and will make your stay there memorable and enjoyable. Looking forward to returning soon! Thanks for a wonderful visit!

Having spent my career working for one of the most influential travel magazines in the world, I have been privileged to stay at some of the best hotels, both large and boutique, and that list now includes Dos Casas Boutique Hotel. There are many good things to say but I will focus on a few of the highlights: 1) THE STAFF Led by the dynamic front desk manager, Demetrio Guerro, the entire staff at Dos Casas is warm, welcoming and bent over backwards to make our stay memorable. Prior to our arrival. the Dos Casa team selected and booked all of our SMA lunch and dinner reservations at the most amazing restaurants. I received the entire itinerary of reservations via email a week before we arrived. Their picks were excellent and represented a really nice cross section of SMA’s culinary offerings. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me outside the hotel and helped to park our rental car in their very convenient, private parking garage across the street from the hotel. It couldn't have been easier. (BTW- the garage is actually a stunning event space with a ceiling of skylights) We then sat down with the concierge who helped us to secure a very knowledgable SMA guide, Jesus, to take us on a 2 hour tour of the city. The tour was customized as I had an uncle who was one of the original SMA American expats ”settlers”in the late 1950's. Jesus was willing to met us at the Publica Biblioteca, a library that my uncle helped establish. He also steered us to the cemetery where I believed my uncle had been buried. All and all, it was a great tour. We never would have connected with Jesus had it not been for Dos Casa Hotel. 2) THE PROPERTY IS GORGEOUS A perfect blend of colonial San Miguel and modern touches. The building itself is so pretty with great old world details that make San Miguel so unique (exposed bricks, beautiful tiles, ceiling beams) mixed with well-designed modern accents and the best lighting I've seen in years. Our room was memorable with a giant marble bathroom complete with a free standing, deep soak tub. Ahhhhhhhh. A spiral staircase led us to a private terrace complete with a jacuzzi, lounge chairs and beautiful potted plants that line the edge of the rooftop. We had our breakfast on the roof each morning which the staff brought it up via a separate staircase so that he seemed to magically appear. It was very special. 3)DINNER AT APERI Our dinner at Aperi inside Dos Casas was by far, the best dinner we had in San Miguel. It was creative, delicious and beautifully presented. I would recommend it to any food lover who travels to SMA. 4 THE SPA This small spa produces big results. It included an infrared sauna, steam bath and sound healing treatment. I had one of the best massages of my life at Dos Casas’ spa. The Spa manager, Bonnie is the consummate professional who spent an additional hour speaking to me about possible treatments/ideas to help with a herniated disc that has plagued me for years. The day after my massage I felt better than I have in a very long time. THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE If you want a beautiful home base while exploring San Miguel, you cannot do better than Dos Casas Boutique Hotel. I highly recommend it.

I don’t write reviews of anything but the service and experience I had was so great I felt compelled. I felt catered to since the time of booking until I left. The hotel is perfectly located in town to walk everywhere. I stayed in the mountain view roof top suite and it is absolutely incredible. But above all the service of all the staff here is what blew me away the most. I certainly felt like they were paying attention to myself the whole stay and every time when I left I came back to the room to find it put back together from how I left it. Absolutely recommend this beautiful hotel.
