The hotel was in a great location, breakfast was good and mostly everybody was exceptional EXCEPT for one person at the front desk named Elizabeth. That is the only reason I am removing a star. She works in the mornings and I have never met anyone else that hates her job as much as she does. I’m surprised they have her at the front of the hotel. Clearly customer service is not her specialty. We arrived at 2pm on our check in day, I was aware the normal check in is not till 4pm and early check ins are not guaranteed. Upon arrival she was not welcoming, was talking to another employee and seemed bothered to come to the desk. She told me we could not check in until 4pm. I expressed that I was aware but had called in advance and IF there was a room available, I understood and was willing to pay a fee. She seemed irritated that I knew that and said nothing was available, but she didn’t check. I used to work in hotels, I know this. I asked if she could give us a call since we would be waiting, she said no, it’s not her responsibility to do that. That I could come back at 4pm. The bellman overheard and gave me the business card so I could call and ask. He was very nice, I didn’t get his name but he had tattoos on his arms. I don’t mean that in a bad way, he really tried to help me and held our luggage. We came back and someone else at the front desk checked me in around 2:40pm and was very nice. Eduardo the other bellman helped us during Our stay and made us feel welcomed. Upon checkout, Elizabeth was there again and I gave her my room key directly and asked to check out. She took my key and walked away. Someone else came to the desk to check me out and asked what room, I responded that I had handed her the key and she just walked away. She stood there with a smirk. Elizabeth went OUT OF HER way to make us feel unwelcome. I hope she finds her passion in life because it must be hard going to a job you hate. In speaking to someone else that works there, they said there have been complaints about her and apologized on her behalf.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, good location. We had a room with a balcony, which is nice. The balcony rooms looking north are nicer than the other balcony rooms (facing west, I think). It’s a nice view to the north and over the cathedral, and the balcony gets full sun. The location is perfect for walking the cathedral area. Lots of shops right in the vicinity.

Perfect Location for walking and sightseeing. Hotel and facilities are good. The staff is very accommodating (Front Desk and Housekeeping). Only issue was with breakfast. We walked into an almost empty restaurant, so I requested a table near the outside, with the best views. I suggested 4 different empty tables. The host told me all those tables were reserved. We ate at an OK table, but I noticed that after 40 minutes, no one showed up to honor their breakfast reservations. All 4 tables that were supposedly reserved; remained empty. The other issue is that I was told at check in breakfast was included, because of Hilton Honors Gold status. We were charged for full breakfast, which I was planning to buy anyways, before checking in. However, the communication about a free breakfast was not clear.

We have stayed here on a few occasions and each time is a fabulous experience! The location is perfect, right in the hard of the historic city. The breakfast and dinner on the 7th floor are fabulous as well as the views of the cathedral. The staff is top notch too, very friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommend. Pro tip: Only tricky thing is parking…there is a garage across the street which is convenient; but they don’t allow you to self park and their “parking drivers” are careless and dented our bumper. Better to park in the garage across from the plaza on the north side of the cathedral. Only a 1 block walk but well worth it for the safety of parking. You can also drop your bags off at the hotel in their loading zone too so you don’t have to walk the plaza with your bags.

Stayed for a few days for a long weekend trip with a lot of friends. The hotel is nice and in a great location. The view from our room was beautiful. But there were a few downsides. We had friends on different floors so we couldn't go to their rooms to meet up before we would go out. Its a good security feature. But with a large group it got annoying have to go get people from the lobby. Then Saturday night the toliet stopped flushing and the hot water was turned off for a day for a leak in the hotel. When we asked to a discount for the disruption they refused. The front desk people were friendly and very helpful. The staff were nice. There was this tall guy who helped with bags that was awesome. And he gave us good recommendations.

Service in general was TERRIBLE!!! Front desk experience was very slow. Lack of training? Rooms are smaller than normal. Didn't tell us we had to request the room to be cleaned. Even after we requested it for the whole stay they missed it one day. The others they did not provide shampoo or clean towels or soap. The only saving grace is the hotel's location which is excellent. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food of the restaurant in the terrace which has a breathtaking view. Not sure we would stay there again.

The hotel is centrally located but the front desk staff wasn't very friendly. We showed up earlier than expected (6am), I offered to pay an extra night (the night before) to be able to go in but they said that they couldn't do that. They offered to let me in early if rooms become available for a fee but I was never called. They didn't offer to hold our luggage so we just left. I believe their check in is 3pm, we returned at 2:30 and they still didn't have rooms and at 3 magically they did. It always irks me when hotels have rooms free but still insist to make you wait. Most hotels as a courtesy will let you in IF they have space. We concluded they must have been full but throughout our stay it seemed hard to believe because we barely ran into people in the hallways, if at all. I think its worth the price if you get a terrace room but there are plenty hotels that you can find at a cheaper price that are safe enough. The bathroom was really nice, the room was clean. The view from the restaurant terrace is really nice but only if you get a table close to the edge. We just stood up and looked over and took a couple photos. If you're going to get a room with your own terrace and with the view its totally worth it . But if you are looking for a basic room, look around. One morning my dad told the staff good morning and they didn't even reply. Check out Hotel Frances. I will post a review for them. They were awesome as far as hospitality goes and rooms were so cool and cost less.

I was really pleased with this hotel. The staff were incredibly hospitable. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The decor and condition of the hotel is excellent and I loved the art work. The breakfast buffet was possibly the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had with an awesome selection. And the view from the restaurant on the terrace can’t be beat. Would love to stay there again!
