★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So far, I've gotten the Day Pass twice. I've enjoyed the facilities, the food and the drinks. An excellent value for your money. Another plus is that it's within walking distance from Carnival's pier, no taxi fare required.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The facility was great. The pricing was weird. The food was good. I would caution the shrimp burger is not a burger but a shrimp sandwich... Lol. Otherwise great. I didn't try it but I noticed the massage table was out in the open for all to see. Not a good site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place to stay whether you are a diver or not. For the divers, Babieca Dive and dock is on site. You can walk out of your room with your gear and get on the boat. For non divers, there are lounge chairs, a nice pool, volleyball and other activities. The staff is accommodating. The food is very good.

Service on the beach was excellent.
Didn't care for the server in restaurant.
Spent $50 which gave a $26 credit for food and drink. We spent another $35 on top of that plus tips. Had 3 beers each and shared the fajita plate and guacamole w/chips.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant was great, rooms were clean, staff were wonderful, grounds were well kept. I would have put 4 stars instead of 3, but the laundry service spilled bleach all over one of my favorite black shirts. I did not even notice until I got home an unpacked all my clothes this week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I had our wedding here. We had 30 guests stay for a week under the all inclusive/elite all inclusive option.
The wedding experience was fantastic for us. We were treated very well all week, and the wedding itself was beautiful. The food was delicious and the drinks were strong. It was a beautiful place to get married.
The only negative thing our group experienced was some of the rooms. Our grandparents with severe accessibility issues requested a wheelchair/handicap accessible room, and were given a different room when they arrived. There were no accessibility features in their room, and they even got stuck with a Murphy bed. Management would not do anything about this. Besides issues like this, everyone had a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love our stay in El Cid. My husband and I enjoy every scenery in our 16 days of stay and especially when the sun comes out and water is clear ???❤️❤️ it's gorgeous ?. Pristine clear water with different sizes and colored fishes ????. We loved our room so much, small space but cozy with a little workable kitchen w/complete utensils. Bathroom with good hot shower and bathtub. ❣️❣️❣️ Bathtub is our friendly stress reliever ?. Respectful workers in restaurant and good housekeeping , thumbs up to that ?. . We would definitely come back and stay here again. We missed the place "El Cid" already ?. See you next time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great smaller resort with a really relaxed and chilled out vibe. Wonderful food with mostly Mexican but other options as well, great breakfast buffet with omelet, waffle and crepe station. One of the best snorkeling areas in front of the hotel- so many fish and a sunken plane! There are big cruise ships parked just off shore and obstruct the view but its a great location. Entertainment included nightly shows with dancers or a band which were very lively. Our one bedroom suit was clean and modern. Our waiters Victor and Oscar took excellent care of us at every meal! We will definitely be back soon.
