Awesome, interesting, and delicious for a very reasonable price. Did the 9-course tasting which also included a welcome cocktail (with Oaxacan gin, very refreshing) and sweets to finish. Some favorites include: - huitlacoche taco with a thin, tender leaf instead of a tortilla, and lovely crispy chicatana garnish (love when I don’t get told I’m eating insects so I can actually enjoy the flavor. Gosh those ants were tasty) - grilled butterfish collar with sikil pak - FOIE MOUSSE AND WAFFLES!!! Was the perfect transition from savory to sweet courses(best thing I’ve eaten in a long time) - learning about mezcal (they were kind enough to let me try the pechuga, which I still find…interesting) - the adorable gift bag with their house mezcals and chocolate as a parting gift Service was great (English was good enough to understand 90% of the food), timing was just right (about 2.5 hours for dinner), and they even let us check out the upstairs rooftop terrace which is where you can order a la carte or go for drinks (different menu than the tasting). Also random - but they have very nice plates (we were inspired to check out the local stores for those we could find the makers’ stamp on). Location is right opposite the Santo Domingo church so central to pretty much everything. Would recommend to anyone looking to learn about and experience Oaxacan food and beverages.

This is the best restaurant in the area. It is absolutely comparable to Michelin Star restaurants I've visited in other countries. Highly recommend the 9 course tasting menu with drinks pairing.

Another spectacular tasting menu in Oaxaca. Definitely book in advance and enjoy the 6, 9 or 12 course tasting menu. Beautiful presentation, service and alcohol pairings

Run, do not walk to this intimate restaurant with a great rooftop bar and restaurant. The cocktails are unique and well executed by a very talented mixologist. We indulged ourselves with the 9 course tasting menu with drink pairings. Everything was spot on including the service. This place was a real find for us! Highly recommended. Ask for other restaurant recomendación from their Jefe del Bar, Diego. He is a wealthy of gastronomic knowledge.

After the alcohol pairing and the tasting menu, I was pleasantly surprised that I was full! Normally, these fancy smancy multi course meals leave me wanting a little more after several small portions, but this time, I was drunk and content. The alcohol pairing isn't much more at all, and you get a lot of alcohol. A lot. It makes for a great way to start or end your night. It was also all just delicious. I did not regret eating one thing. Recommended and for the gluten-free human. The only things swapped for gluten-free alternatives were the beer (for more wine) and some dessert (removing a cake of sorts for more ice cream). 5 ? ? 's.

I reserved a spot the night before and did the six course tasting menu. They did a veg-friendly version and it was excellent! There's a real simplicity and distillation to the food. The watermelon tomato dish with the plant-based rinds was incredibly flavorful and very inventive - probably my favorite course of the meal.

I highly recommend trying the tasting menu here! This was one of my favorite restaurants in Oaxaca. The food was amazing, service on point, prices reasonable, and a very well executed tasted menu experience with pacing, food quality and creativity, and service. I’m excited to come back here when I return to Oaxaca!

The tasting menu was really wonderful. A lot of different flavors and textures from all over Mexico. Some things were better than others but it was a great opportunity to try a lot of unique dishes from this beautiful country and region. Staff is also quite attentive and the service is wonderful.
