★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it!!
First off, our beach hostess Carla was AMAZING. Hands down the most attentive, kind, and friendly person at the resort. To be clear, everyone is amazing, but Carla went the extra mile to make our time on the beach special. So kind.
The restaurants are all great, I loved the breakfast at Santa Fe and dinner at the Italian restaurant was probably our favorite meal.
Make sure to try out the live dinner/show at Fuentes, that is worth the extra money and is an experience.
Our room was fantastic. Maybe needs some love in terms of details, but overall a nice room. Loved the Aguas de Amor, used them twice a day. So cool.
Room service was always quick, but note they won't bring you mixed drinks of any kind, food only. The food was generally good, but nowhere near as good as the food in the restaurants.
The only point of friction for us was the Concierge. It's clear that they're tasked with upselling on experiences and excursions and it makes the conversations a bit uncomfortable. You really don't need to stop at the Concierge, you can walk in just about anywhere and if you just want to stay on the resort I don't see a need to go visit with them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We attended my cousins wedding and had a wonderful experience. The staff wore masks and they required masks in check-in areas and concierge huts.
The room was clean, spacious and the pool off our suite was pretty cool.
The restaurants were true gourmet experiences with many choices. Room service was also an option that we took advantage of for breakfast a couple of times. We most definitely plan on visiting other resorts by Karisma. Beware they do have a sale pitch that is similar to a time share that they don’t call a timeshare. We passed as we didn’t want to sit for an hour to hear their spiel.
The shuttles come often but be prepared to walk or leave early if you have reservations.
Make sure you pack a few pens with all the COVID-19 paperwork you will have to complete. It was a nightmare trying to leave the airport when they do not have enough pens for everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old resort but well kept grounds. NOT a swim beach. Bars at pool area close at 5!!!!?♀️ NO restroom or shower at pool area.?
Stairs to room are uneven and wonky.. Quite a hike to use the restroom. Tiny ants everywhere on vanity when the sun goes down.
Order many entrees when dining, the servings are about 3 ounces. Plan your whole week of dining, reservations are required. A few restaurants are permanently closed so don't be fooled. You MUST drink bottled water in glass bottles.
Check out other resorts in the area first.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our first time staying in Casitas, but definitely not our last. I can’t praise the hotel facilities enough! Each meal was fantastically presented and tasted delicious. My partner suffers from a dairy allergy and the attention to detail was like nothing we had seen before - every single staff member was fantastic in informing her of what items contained dairy. There were even occasions they prepared her a dairy free pudding. A special thanks to Andy in Kampi who went the extra mile in ensuring she was aware of all the items containing dairy.
We stayed in 2719 and loved the view of the beach and being so close to the pool. Our barman Gerry was brilliant and provided us with high quality drinks - all drinks are branded and free poured! You can even order drinks not on the menu, for example I was drinking a Miami Vice most days.
The hotel is absolutely huge and thankfully they provide a shuttle service, if you’re feeling brave walk it and you’ll make room for some more delicious food!
The rooms are spacious, clean and the turn down service is a lovely touch. I would have liked to see a shaver charger in the bathroom.
Even though we have given this establishment 5* we did have a few issues. Firstly our safe wouldn’t close, and our whirlpool bath wouldn’t hold any water - both of which were swiftly sorted by our concierge. On our check out day no one turned up to collect our bags, which was frustrating as it meant we have the lug heavy suitcases around in the sweltering heat.
The beach is disappointing due to the amount of seaweed. There is a team working hard all day to remove it as best as they can, however this is a never ending job.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to return.
