El Dorado Seaside Suites by Karisma - 77733 Puerto Aventuras

Will never come back here. Food is awful at all the restaurants. You have to make reservations for the restaurants the second morning you are here. There is an app but you can’t make reservations on it, which is pointless. I don’t know what I want to eat for a whole week especially on vacation. My birthday was one of the days we were there and they said they had it noted and would decorate the room and such and never did. Even offered to pay for it and they stated it was free.. Tried to go to main pool one day and someone was trying to save a cabana and 8 chairs without towels. “Well there is a group of 20 of us and we have 8 rooms so… we’re just waiting on towels” so you’re gunna take up over half the chairs at this pool for your group of 20? And 8 rooms is a fraction of this resort… The staff is super friendly and breakfast is about the only decent thing. Resort is clean but your room doesn’t get cleaned daily unless you put a request in daily on the app. We won’t be back and I’m highly disappointed. It’s also over an hour from the airport.

DO NOT STAY HERE. My husband and I stayed here 15 years ago and it was magnificent. We went back last week and it was terrible. While we made the best of it and still had a good time with our friends, I would never recommend this resort to anyone. Ever. We were so embarrassed that we planned this trip with a group of people and had vouched for how wonderful it was years ago. First of all, it’s false advertising. There are two separate resorts. The main high-rise resort has literally no beach. When you look at pictures on the website, there’s actual sand. There’s literally just a wall and seaweed covered water on rocks. The other resorts that you have to walk five minutes to, has a very small beach, and it is literally covered in seaweed. There are man-made barricades everywhere in the water obstructing your beach view. The entire time we were there, several bulldozers went back-and-forth every couple of minutes on the sand, nearly missing our feet, removing seaweed. It smelled horrible, and the water was brown. While we understand that mother nature is uncontrollable, the operation to remove the seaweed was horribly done and made for a terrible experience. The grounds are run down rooms were dirty, and the concierge staff was unbelievably rude. Several people that we met at the resort had the same experience, also stating that while they would make the best of the vacation, this resort was not up to par. The food was also pretty awful. I could go on, AND ON, but trust me. Save your money. Go someplace else!

This resort is amazing. It has everything you need. The staff are truly awesome. Javier will set you up with the perfect cabana. He is friendly and full of fun facts about Mexico. He is AMAZING and goes above and beyond. Veronica served us drinks at the beach everyday and she was super friendly and took great care of us. The waitstaff at the restaurants will help you with your Spanish and really take the time to make you feel special. We highly recommend this resort!

Absolutely loved it here. The resort is gorgeous and the swim out pools are perfect for hot weather and a night swim. Fun bars with live music. Adult only resort. Plenty of places to eat. There wasn’t a lot of vegetarian options and I wasn’t blown away by the food. I think that I had such a great time the food really wasn’t a priority for me. The staff is above and beyond friendly and the drinks are very very good. It was really easy to get around and if you have trouble walking, they have golf carts available. We were also able to schedule excursions around the area right in our hotel which made it so easy. The resort is clean and well maintained. I’ve been to many places and this was by far one of my favorite vacations.

I would sincerely recommend avoiding this resort. We stayed at the El Dorado Seaside suites for our honeymoon in mid-November 2021. We were extremely disappointed with every aspect of the trip. We arrived and right off the bat noticed how long it took for the golf carts to come around to take guests places. The resort is very spread out, so we had to wait a very long time for them to come get us and our luggage so that we could go to our room. This was also an issue when we left- we booked a golf cart to get us at 7 am, and after multiple phone calls, at 7:15 am we began walking to the front lobby so that we did not miss our transfer to the airport. The food was honestly very disappointing, portion sizes were small (we ended up starting to order multiple appetizers and entrees) and many of the buildings felt old and out of date. It was raining when we went to the Mexican restaurant and there were at least 10 leaks pouring out water through the ceiling, and we had to move tables. I would put the burger on the beach on par with hospital cafeteria food. The taco station that they have out on the beach was good, but you weren’t allowed to eat your food in your cabana on the beach (what?!). Also, your “personal concierge” sounds like a perk- but this was actually very frustrating because the concierge was already gone in the afternoon when we arrived, so we had to wait until the next day to figure out how to book our honeymoon perks (dinner on the beach for example). It was frustrating that we had to spend hours of our morning the next day meeting with the concierge to get dinner reservations booked, spa treatments booked, and other activities- I would’ve much preferred to book those when we had first arrived. The personal concierge made multiple errors (their internal booking system is horrible)- for example we asked to book a massage at 4pm on a Friday, and when we showed up at the spa they said the concierge booked it for 5 pm on a Saturday. Additionally, the concierge had given us a 1 hour free massage if we completed a time share tour- but when we went to the spa again they said it was only a 25 minute credit. The communication from the concierge was completely unreliable and we ended up being overcharged for the spa treatment. When we tried to resolve the issue with the spa, they eventually said they would waive the fee, but upon checking out they did end up charging us for it. We told them we would not pay the extra spa fee that should have been included, and the front desk told us that we had to pay for it or we couldn’t leave the resort. The room was also disappointing. There was a strong smell of sewage in the hallways and every time you got in the elevator. The rain water accumulated on the floors and it was dangerous just walking to our room. I was also disappointed at how freezing cold the water was in the swim out pool off of our balcony- I didn’t get in the water once. We honestly were disappointed by the food, the service, the rooms, and really every aspect of our trip. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

We came here on for our honeymoon and can't wait to come back! We had an amazing, relaxing time! Our concierge took great care of us, and helped us plan our days. The room had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable! The staff did an amazing job keeping the resort clean and making us feel extremely welcomed. The food was great and the beach was breathtaking! We highly recommend a spa day and getting a massage on the beach! We also did the candle light dinner which was the perfect romantic night and morning to end our trip. We can't say enough good things about this resort and the entire staff. Can't wait to come back!!

This resort was recommended by my travel agent, and it did not disappoint! I was originally supposed to go with my best friend of many years to celebrate our birthdays but she became ill and couldn't go, so I ended up going alone. All the staff were amazing and attentive, and they all made my birthday special. Javier on the beach is outstanding, had my cabana set up for me every morning, brought me a birthday hat, cake on the beach and these amazing sea shells. He certainly went above and beyond. I went for a message, and the staff there presented me with chocolate covered strawberries for my birthday, so thoughtful. They decorated my room and my door, brought me a birthday cake in the room, I felt so special. Then, I had Mexican for my b-day dinner and they brought me cake and sang happy birthday. The following night I went back to the Gourmet Pub (my favorite) and my favorite waiter, Alejandro brought me yet more cake and sang happy birthday! If I had eaten all the sweets I collected, I would have gained 5 lbs. I had a swim up room on the Infinity side, ground floor out to the main pool. The room was nice and kept clean, a special thanks to Beatriz and Luisa for that, amazing cleaning crew! Thank you for a wonderful time and for making my birthday so special.

We had the most excellent family trip/anniversary celebration. Every single staff member was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Daniele was incredibly helpful and kind. He checked on us everyday to make sure we had what we needed. Rooms are very clean and the turn down service is awesome! The resort has excellent restaurants, nightly entertainment and beautiful grounds to stroll. I could write so much more about our amazing experience! If you are wondering whether or not you should book a trip, do it! You will love it!!
