El Gran Escape, vacation rental, We are here approximately 2x a year comeing from South Florida, We love this well equipped home! We consider it our island home, we've lost count of the amount of time staying in this home, we first fell in love with the island many years ago, our visit was oringinated from a cruise, we've stayed at many different homes here prior to finding this Gem of a house. I'm writing this on our 2nd day here. Sept. 2017, we escaped Irma hurricane in Fort Lauderdale, Although pre planned perfect timing. The house is everthing as it is described on website. Although there are only 2 of us the house is layed out perfectly for multiple couples. Julie & Sue (owner & Manager) are a pleasure to do Buisiness with. We recommend buying your peso from your bank at home, prebooking shuttle transfer from airport in Cancun to the ferry, the ferry takes you to the island, in addition There is no need for a rental car golf carts are the easiest way around this tiny island we recommend you have the cart delivered to the house, a short cab ride from ferry to the house and your R&R can begin as soon as you arrive. I'm writing less about the house & more about the travel, these are guidelines that take all stress out of travel days. Let me re-confirm the house is kept up well & the web discription is true. I've given you the ??, the only negative is although the outdoor space is beautiful and spacious, there is no covered area, if you get stuck with a rainday, you are kind of forced indoors, but full days of rain living in the tropics I can say are far & few between. The house was fabulous. Everything was well taken care of and clean. The view from the back was amazing - we couldn't get enough of it. The staff was very helpful. We emailed the property manager about a question and as soon as they opened the next day there was someone at the property checking things out for us. The concierge service was very helpful with lots of last minute unexpected requests. This was a great place to stay and would stay there again.

Beautiful view of the ocean. Plenty of room in the house. The hot tub doesn't work but it wasn't really missed. Some great artwork hanging in the house too.
