El Mexicano - 77720 Playa del Carmen

Un poco escondido, pero hermoso. Lo mejor de este lugar, su terraza. Tiene parrilla, pileta, camas paraguayas, reposeras. Los departamentos son un tanto pequeños pero cumplen su función. No tienen horno pero si no hornalla. El baño está bien y viene con toallas. Solo vengan con sus cosas de higiene( shampoo-acondicionador-jabón) el servicio de limpieza es un servicio aparte

Rooms are nice BUT some of their rooms are in the entrance area where also the pool is. You can hear everything because the wall doesn't absorb any sounds. It also happened that people were starting to put loud music from 2:30am, swimming in the pool and talking very loudly till some hours later. (I complained to those people but they just laughed at me, and saying then I shouldn't be on the ground floor) This is not allowed by policy, but there is a pool and furniture to chill, drunk people coming back surely will use this if no one enforces the policy in the night or the area is blocked like it happened to me. In the advertisement pictures they also clearly hide that there are rooms besides the pool. Just make sure you don't get a room on the ground.

We arrived and the room given to us was horrible. It had to functional washroom. We had to wait for hours and did not get service and they did not help us to find a new room. We never go back again

Absolutely awful experience You do not ever want to deal with these property management. Be careful where you book in Mexico Avoid online booking and see the place before booking

I usually do not bother with reviews but I had to do this one. The most horrible experience I have ever had. The room smelled so strongly of mold. I felt my lungs were burning when I entered I tried to turn on the air conditioner. Nothing would help. I contacted the owner and called the booking .com and left the building right away. It was so terrible. As soon as I turn on the shower the smell was overwhelming. The owner went the next day refused that there was an issue and charged me 50% of the fee. They are thieves and liars. They even lied that even though a request had been sent to them through booking .com to change the date they never received it. Do not ever book a place in Mexico without seeing it. Here is the picture to proof the mold DO NOT EVER BOOK IN THIS PLACE. You do not want to deal with them if anything is wrong

Love this spot is so close to everything and the roof top and pool are very cute. Also the vibe of the decoration is super nice! Adrian is the best host!

The owner is so nice, and has a great commitment with her hosts, but during my stay there were several issues with the tubs and water, that's my only but here. Anyway the place is great and you can go walking to the beach or 5th Av, since it's really close.

4.75 stars! This place is freakin awesome and you definitely get your money's worth here. The rooftop is lovely and the wifi is fairly decent up there too. Whoever designed this place was very thoughtful and efficient. JOSE was the host when I was there and he was extremely helpful (telling me everything I could ask about PDC) and bilingual. This place is right off of 30th Avenue so it's very quick easy to take a public bus/van into the heart of town for 50 cents (10 pesos) or 50 pesos for a taxi. And if you walk, it's still close enough and seems like a safe area. Biggest reason it doesn't get 5 stars is there doesn't seem to be hot water as of March 2022 but it's Mexico and always hot/warm so it doesn't really matter that much. Also, I think this place could stand to do from a full/queen to a King size bed but oh well. This place is located right next to a big super market which is great! Also, the information book in each room is very helpful in getting your bearings and quite succinct.
