★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Janitzio it's a magical place that always has a good picture for me. I've been there numerous times and it's always different. The island in the middle of the lake and the hills touching the sky provide the best background for the always amazing views regardless of the season.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whoever dislikes Patzcuaro or Janitzio must hate life, this is the place to see when you're visiting or in the area. I stopped to eat a lemon nieve and stopped to try the Corundas since it's said to be originated in Patzcuaro, they were AMAZING!!! There are so many stands to buy things. So many food stands and restaurants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of tourists on the weekends and holidays. Last boat is at 7pm. Several vendors around, make sure to negotiate prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tourist trap. My best advice; take the boat, walk straight up, walk straight down, take the boat. We went on a Monday, I wouldn't attempt on a weekend.
