Encantada Tulum - 77780 Tulum

Room was BEAUTIFUL, clean and right on the beach. However, it’s the staff that makes this place so special. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly and the management is there for any need you may have. They make you feel well taken care of and make your trip so much more enjoyable. The hotel is located further down on the hotel street away from the bars and beach clubs which I personally liked. It was private and safe. I can’t recommend enough, will definitely be coming back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Encantada! From the time we checked-in until the time we left, the staff were absolutely amazing. Becky and JP helped us every step of the way. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Our villa overlooked the beach and goodness did it make those Tulum sunrises worth it! The only downside was it's a bit hot because the AC isn't super powerful. We just opened the windows and doors to let the ocean breeze in.

Paradise on Earth - That's what Encantada is. It's been seven years of returns for us, and 8 stays, always too short...The Encantada family, from JP, to Becky, to Carlos, to Alfred to Ana, and everyone else is just wonderful and makes you feel at home, cared for and pampered as royalty. We can't wait to come back!

Encantada is a truly special place, with a unique atmosphere and exceptional staff, that is unlike anything we've experienced before. To start, we have to give a big thank you to the wonderful staff who were so friendly and warm, making us feel like we were staying with family. Becky, Ricardo, JP, Anna, Efren and the many others! Efren gets a special shoutout for the friendship he so easily creates and energy he shares in every conversation. It was fun to have the opportunity to chat with him almost every day of our trip and get to know him. The atmosphere of Encantada is very relaxed and peaceful, a true paradise. I think the lack of tv's, pool, etc. are good things and really set the vibe for the experience. The small amount of rooms mean the grounds quiet and private. The rooms feel more like studio apartments than "hotel rooms" and have very comfortable beds. Their food is amazing and their included breakfast is incredible! Each dish was excellent and the portions were more than enough. We were perfectly content eating most of our meals there. Encantada really tries to create an experience and that includes their partnerships and recommended activities. We did a tour of the Tulum ruins and a cenote with Oscar from Primitive Expeditions. This was hands down one of the best experiences we've had! The day with Oscar was so much more than a tour. You could really feel how much he cared and we are very thankful that he was our guide and for the experience he created. There is no doubt that we would stay at Encantada again and we'd recommend it to anyone. In all honesty, our experience at Encantada was so enjoyable and special that we'd never stay anywhere else. Thank you!

Adding to the chorus of raves. The hotel has only 8 rooms and staff must outnumber guests. Everything is designed to make you relax and enjoy the stunning setting. It's a specific kind of luxury (no tv no pool) but the beds are among the most comfortable, the breakfast wonderful and the views from the room make you want to stay forever.

I was so sad when it was time to checkout because Encantada was absolutely phenomenal. Everyone we encountered were all very attentive, kind, and welcoming. I really love that this hotel has a small number of rooms with a private beach. We really loved our room and the water bath to wash our feet prior to entering our porch. They also have a fun Moscow mule tasting session. The breakfast was delicious, we miss having breakfast on our porch every morning! Our room was absolutely beautiful and it seems house keeping comes by more than once to fix up the rooms. The location is great, and we really loved borrowing the free bikes the hotel offers their guests. COVID testing was super easy to get done. They have a nurse come to the hotel and swab you. It’s also affordable and the results were emailed to us within a day. If we ever come back to Tulum, we will definitely be staying at Encantada.

First time Tulum visit.. If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay on Tulum beach (away from the party/spring break crowd) I highly recommend Encantada. The staff, the food, the room, the hotel were all perfect. No pool and no tvs, but to be honest we preferred a small hotel without both. We opted for an ocean view second floor room which I highly recommend if it’s available. You communicate with the staff via whatsapp rather than phones from your room. The beach cabanas are comfortable and shaded and there’s no fighting for beach beds because of the small size of the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful each day. The staff was incredibly attentive. Overall the hotel serves very decent food and cocktails. We miss Encantada already and will absolutely stay again when we return!

Although we are staying at another hotel, our curiosity attracted us to check this place out. Ivan Garcia greeted us with utmost warmth and respect and treated us as if he’s known us for a long time, answered our questions as far as places to eat and shop. We could tell he was legit because we’d already been to a few of them. The property looked very clean and quiet, the way we like it.
