Nice and clean place for chilling out

The name of this hotel represent the location, beautiful property and amazing service from the staff. I visit Ensueño for one night, we have such a great time that we decided to spend 2 nights instead. we were great and welcome at the front desk, we arrived earlier and the room was not ready but we were invited to have welcome drinks at the soul sister property " Carolinda Beach Club" , we went there and we have the best pina colada, mojito and margarita ( at the end of the trip) we realized that the drink were the best in the island! I like nature, the location for me was perfect, we rented bikes and this was just easy to to downtown and come back! the beach is just beautiful and its located 60 mts from the Hotel, the pool is a dream and the garden is so relaxing, it made our stay very special. the room was clean with cool mexican style covers and furniture, very colorful and well decorated. the bed super comfy! they even brought a baby crib and my baby sleep all night long :) everybody is so friendly and nice. We will definitely be back and bring more family members and friends with us.

Room was not ready upon arrival, and it was communicated to us as normal without hint to apologize inconvenience. Lady at reception extremely not welcoming, not even simple polite “hello”(im not talking about useless “how was your trip and we are happy to see you in our hotel”, literally she was not even talking, like she is making us service by checking in). Room more than basic, shower and toilet is very tired. Moreover (not mistake of hotel, but as a fact) beach is green nearby (not blue), and at the beach club only few chaise lounges so it’s not pleasant. We were happy to leave in more centrally located hotel. Much better for beach and vibes. Sorry, but this place I can’t recommend.

Let’s start with they can’t do any additional accommodations like extract towels, blankets, or changing the room cause you’re a family of four and they only had two rooms to accommodate you and kids are on the other side of the hotel. The pressure in the toilets and showers was low… flushing took long … I lost count how many times i had to call the front desk for assistance. My husband went to get water from the lobby and the water dispenser popped off, they charged us $500 pesos… is not about the money as much as about the principal… we believe that was already broken… the thing is in the lobby for God sake. Getting any type of service took for ever cause there was only like 2-3 people working the entire resort… so if you needed someone during breakfast you had to wait until after breakfast was done cause reception couldn’t leave the front desk which is understandable and the employees working the kitchen are also the ones doing maintenance. LET’S NOT FORGET THE DISTANCE FROM EVERYTHING… we happened to get there a day that rain a lot so the golf companies were not renting the carts due to flooding… the taxis to get there took long and walking in the heat to the main center of the town or any where else was awful. This is my third time going to Holbox and by far the worse stay?

Nice atmosphere. Above average breakfast. Very good service in reception. Wifi 2/5 - decent at pool - no signal in rooms.

Fabulous budget hotel - it's not luxury, but the photos are realistic and it was clean. Staff were all super friendly and helpful whenever we need anything. The water pressure and WiFi were lacking, but that's just part of the Holbox experience. Great location outside the town centre was nice and quiet at night but only a short bike ride to town or Playa Punta Cocos. We were there for two weeks and were sad to leave.

Paradise!! Holbox is a beautiful island but also getting more busy with tourists. Ensueño is the perfect place when you want to feel that relaxed island vibe, away from the busy crowds. This is paradise! The staff is super friendly and make you feel more then welcome. They keep the hotel and garden in very good conditions. The rooms are nice and clean and all have a private terrace with hammock. You could really stay here all day long… oh and the beach club is definitely the best on the whole beach! We would love to come back here, it’s the perfect option in holbox!
