After spending time there I understand why Escuela Falcon gets good reviews. The teachers don't just teach Spanish. They actually take an interest in you. I was there in December. I miss the place.

I love the people at Escuela Falcon! Everyone is very helpful. Instruction is organized and thorough. Class prices are a little high. Teachers are prepared and efficient. The location is great. I have returned for the second year.

Escuela Falcon is a great school full of great people and great teachers without the school it would have definitely been harder to adapt to mexico. The school helped me figure out housing in mexico and help me overcome aspects of the language barrier. I am really happy i found this place and really appreciate everyone in the school for their kindness.

My family (2 kids 9 & 11) and I just spent a week at Escuela Falcon learning Spanish and cannot recommend it strongly enough, they were fantastic. First of all, it's super convenient in Centro district of Guanajuato. We spent 2 hrs there each morning, grabbing breakfast in the square first and then an easy walk out to explore the town. Our instructors (Giovanna for class and Isadora for cooking) were incredibly patient and helpful. We really did learn a lot, and the cooking classes were a great way to learn vocab while discovering interesting new recipes. Overall, if you want to learn Spanish in Guanajuato, this is an amazing way to do it amongst a vibrant community of like minded people.

Wonderful experience here! The teachers are friendly, patient and skilled, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We were only there for a week, but we learnt so much from four hours of Spanish lessons a day. I wish we could have stayed longer. I hope to go back in the future!

Above & beyond. They establish a community amongst students and have a strong connection between instructors. I’ve studied at other schools in GTO & other countries, and this is by far the best. I have a minor in Spanish and had no intention of taking classes, but when I went to register my husband & found there were advanced classes like Mexican Politics, Indigenous Populations, Mexican History, Spanish Literature, Writing & Word Choice, I thought the $140 per week for classes sounded totally reasonable. However, I reservations because I have been at other schools where intense content is just a gesture. Not true. I feel as if I am learning at the same level as I was in the Univ of Chile. They were flexible with my schedule when I wanted to change to be with my husband in cooking class, a beginner hispanohablante, and rearranged things nicely to my preferences easily & without complaint. Cooking class with my husband and others took the place of breakfast and taught some hard & fast rules about MX cooking; my political science class allowed me to choose from a syllabus of everything from political parties, to MX campaign finance, student revolts & more. Everything was flexible according to my interest; MX history took us from Spanish occupation through independence, MX-American war, the Revolution of 1910 & into the present, all guided by our interests and questions. Indigenous studies is awesome & la maestra catered to our interests, the indigenas close to us in Arizona, like los Yaquis. We also got to learn about Chiapas y the struggle of the Zapotecas. They have events every day in the afternoon or evening to explore the town or spend time with other learners applying your new language skills. They provide lots of information on places to go in town and how to get there. I also loved how many little children there were studying. Age seven to fourteen had classes designed for them. They are so cute using their manners in the snack bar to order everything in Spanish! Now that we know we can go from Arizona to Hermosillo and fly super-cheap, we have plans to return many times, especially considering how my husband, who only took French 30 years ago, is learning so quickly! Maybe we will have opportunity to take the dancing, drawing, and other fun active classes where language learning is applied, but four was what we could fit in and still be able to explore this wonderful, chill and interesting town made for pedestrians. It’s the best school I’ve been to. I plan on bussing to Hermosillo to get here again quickly!

I spent three weeks here and had a wonderful experience. I teach high school Spanish but needed some refreshing of my own, and I really missed being a student and learning new topics in Spanish. I had really professional and approachable teachers while taking classes in history, cooking, indigenous populations, conversation, literature, and more. Many of my “group“ classes were private lessons with great attention by the teachers. I also really liked that the school plans events nearly every day to help you get to know other students and Guanajuato better to make the most of your time there. Many travelers come alone but many families come together, even regulars who return every year. The entire staff cared about me as a student and as a person, making sure I was comfortable in the city on my own and had access to a doctor when I needed it. What an amazing place! I will definitely be back.
