Historia de la Preparatoria Regional de Lagos de Moreno

La creación Escuela Preparatoria en el Municipio de Lagos de Moreno, nace por la necesidad de tener este servicio educativo en esta zona, ya que representaba un costo económico para los estudiantes el trasladarse a otras escuelas y dado el continuo crecimiento en la demanda escolar, las autoridades universitarias tuvieron a bien autorizar la creación de una Institución Universitaria en Lagos de Moreno.

Su creación nace por mandato del Consejo General Universitario el día 18 de junio de 1979, integrándose como parte del Programa de Regionalización que la Universidad de Guadalajara estaba emprendiendo.
