So I had previously rented cars before and I didnt come back because of a bad experience. And this time around is the reason im writting this review. I had made a reservation through Expedia. But the reservation I did was at Fox rent a car. I bought the insurance throug expedia, which I typically never pay for insurance, but this time I went for it. I get to the airport and I cant find Fox rent a car, come to find out Europcar now handles Fox rent a car. Going through their policies, the insurance I got was not accepted. Expedia offers free liability insurance, that europcar does not honors it either. I had to get there full coverage insurance in order to get the car. I only did because I did not have the time to go hunting for a car somewhere else. But I will never rent from here again. Next time I will reserve at enterprise like I've done before. They honor the Expedia free liability insurance. And if you have a credit card that covers car rental, your set. Hope this helps someone from becoming a victim of bad practices from this rental company.

Do NOT rent from this place!!!!! They took a $904 security deposit and said I’d get it in 7 days, almost 2 weeks later and still shows as pending on my acct. I’ve tried calling, emailing & no one is helping! Horrible service! This car rental company is very unorganized, expensive and the car they gave me was dirty with scratches & cigarette holes inside. Don’t waste your $$

The worst cars dirty, high deposit they charged me 600.00 I returned the vehicle and still no money back they also over charged me on the insurance never again will I rent from this company.

Won't be using them anymore. Price was almost tripled when going through them in Guadalajara. Even though you had already paid one price online.

Worst car rental experience. We received a Jetta with bald tires. I had to waste a full day replace a tire that spontaneously burst. It burst because it already had 5 patches on it. The mechanic said that the other three tires were in similar poor condition. This company is reckless and doesn't care about their customers safety. I tried contacting them numerous times to get a refund for the tire I bought but I never received a response from them. The agents at the desk knew about the problems beforehand because they wouldn't make eye contact after I informed them about all of the problems, they just rushed me out the door and told me to email corporate to get it resolved. No response from corporate. I will never rent a car from them again.

Horrible. To check in and get the car took an hour and a half the lobby wasn’t full it was packed of people I got there at 12 midnight and left the lobby at 1:30 am. The next morning at 8 am the car did not start, we called and they told us they’ll sent someone. That someone called us and asked what was wrong with the car and asked for a video of how we were turning on the car. Yes they asked for a video. When they finally saw that we do know how to Tun on a car they had someone bring us another car.

UPDATE: 10/28/2021 6:30 am. This would of been our third time using this company, we were very happy with the past times we have rented. Unfortunately, only a few months from our last visit the prices have went very high. Services was so bad, we went next door to MEX rent a car, they gave me a good deal. Sadly Europcar lost us as customers. May 2021 -THE BEST CAR RENTAL COMPANY that was HONEST and TRUE from start to finish. We Started off confused, we didn’t do the online process of renting a car because of bad past experience with car rental companies. I had my guards way up and I think I wasn’t expecting how HONEST and TRUE to what they mentioned on the price from the beginning. The BEST CAR RENTAL COMPANY we have ever rented from! We had our car for 10 days unlimited miles and we LOVED it! Great car to drive in any type of Mexican road. We traveled from Guadalajara to Patzcuaro with out a problem.

I fixed a price for renting a car under 500 dollars. I selected the best type of coverage available online, knowing that car rent business, always has some requieres add one, to take any car, so by selecting the best type of coverage, my price would be “final” or somehow close to the final price. Incredible surprise, was that in the shop they said that the coverage I had chosen, was not enough, I needed to get additional coverage, because the other one, was not offered by them, so, after having a very uncomfortable conversation they gave me an estimate of 1900 dollars instead of the 500 I expected paying. I really needed to get out of there, and assumed the “scam”. While I was there it happened the exact same thing to a different customer. I went through with it, because it would have been more expensive for me to lose more time, but I wanted to write this review to give you guys a heads up of what’s happening, and warn you to think twice before you rent a car with this guys. It might the same with the shops besides them.
