★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible experience. They found one reason after another why I wasn't able to take the prepaid rental car with me, even deleted the entire reservation and wanted me to pay the FULL AMOUNT again and made me stay 5 hours until I was finally able to take the initially reserved car with me. Also they did charge additional fees that were not mentioned for the "security holding" and they did withdraw this instead of blocking it and in the end returned less. They also promised a car exchange as the initially reserved car had been given away, but obviously this service never happened and they didn't even care to inform me. Worst customer service ever, nothing but lies and betrayals.

I made a reservation online and it said i have to pay 150 dollars
Then when i got there the made me pay an insurance for 2 times the price !!!
I came all the way from San cristobal and i didnt take the car because they’re scammers

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Helpful and easy, we added some scratches to the car and they didn’t make us pay. Watch out for speed bumps if youre not from Mexico, they are everywhere and will mess your car up

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst rental company ever to do business with. The voucher had a different amount and a different amount of the deposit. Accordingly, they took $ 10 mor and 3 times the deposit amount !!! Then, upon returning, they took almost $ 100 for a scratch under the rear bumper, which I did not leave. They saw that I was in a hurry and just forced me to sign. In addition, not a single employee knows English in this office, or pretends not to. One star is too many for such scammers. It is a pity that I did not pay attention to such a rating earlier, all the same, an international company would turn to another place. And the standard excuse to write to the service looks like a mockery, since the service service does not respond to letters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we got the car, they told us to prepay the gas because the gas station was far from the airport and we won’t be able to return with full tank. This is a terrible lie! We pass 2 gas station with full tank.
When we returned the car, we left it in the airport and the personal in charge told us to leave it outside. No one told us where to leave when we rent it and we had to move the car and paid the ticket to be able to return it.
Really bad experience with Europcar

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Scammers! Save yourself money and time and go to a real reputable rental business. Long story short these scammers take an enormous 2000$ deposit fee and will do anything they can to keep it. I was careful and only had to pay 100$ for a smudge on the carpet. I say that sarcastically because I could of cleaned it off myself for infinitely less. Stay away from these people they are not trust worthy or honest .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I reserved a car 1 month before arriving and was charged for the rental on my credit card. When I picked up the car, I upgraded and placed the upgrade on my credit card. I didn’t realize that they added a complete new charge on my card.
I spent 2 months with customer service trying to get one charge removed. Customer service was no help. I finally told them to forget it. I will never use Europcar again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is not that horrible as other comments describe, but it is not perfect either. To start with, staff speaks hardly any English, but they get you through the rental process via an English application using a tablet. Apart from that, the staff was polite and nice, not insisting on getting additional insurances.
The deposit stated in an agreement via discovercars.com was not accepted and has been significantly higher: around 3 times as big.
It is worth getting lots of photos of each and every defect of a car just to be safe, we did so, but it wasn't needed in the end.
The return was quite smooth, the person had precise look at everything but did not try to come up with imaginary defects etc.
Rental and return took some time, including waiting while other customers were served, 60 and 30 minutes respectively.
