Research & Development
Exco Engineering has been at the forefront of digital simulation of the die casting process since such computational tools became widely available in the mid 1990s. Employing the very latest software from a variety of vendors, Exco is widely considered a world leader in employing predictive analysis into our tooling design.
We also have built a considerable private database correlating our simulation results with what we see in practice, employing real-time digital displacement transducers to inform us as to the sufficiency of a given simulation.
In 2014 our R&D team was awarded the Best Paper at the 2014 NADCA Congress in Milwaukee for their research into vacuum process in casting of structural parts.
