In my opinion it is definitely worth the hype! Be prepared for a small wait but also for some of the best fish tacos in your life and i have had a few! My recommendations are the coconut fish taco and the chicken sandwich!! Be aware of the size though 1-2 tacos fill you up! Both hold up to their name. This easily turned into my favorite dinner spot in Puerto

Best tacos we had at la Punta. I tried the coconut shrimp tacos and came back twice for more. Simply wonderful, HUGE, served with cabbage. I also tried the al pastor fish tacos, which were good, but nothing amazing (let’s just say I’m a little biased on my pastor likes, being a chilango). The fish carnitas tacos were good as well. One of our friends had the fried chicken, which was amazing as well.

It’s definitely a hype, but don’t miss out on this one! Absolutely amazing (and loaded) tacos and other comfort food, served with a big smile! It’s quite pricey, but if you’d ask me it’s worth it. Will come back for sure.

Easily the best fish taco I’ve had in a really long time. I love the option of getting it grilled or fried. Vegetarian options are excellent. Beverages are as good as any bar. Been back several times in 1 week. Can’t get enough. It’s the beach, so I highly recommend the fish and shrimp tacos breaded with coconut. Surprisingly the chicken taco is also amazing. During COVID I found it to be a bit crowded and cramped with too many people working (I used to manage restaurants in San Francisco); however, the folks working are very attentive to anything you might need. I just got my food to go and ate it on the beach at sunset and this made me feel safer during these weird times. These folks know what they are doing and they do it well. While the menu is large, it’s because they are giving folks so many options: vegetarian, small format, large format. I think it’s great. You could easily feed an entire family or just have a quick bite before a swim.

Delicious shrimp tacos and kombucha. We had been fishing during the day and caught a sail fish. Having no kitchen or facilities to cook our fish we asked the guy running the fish shack if he could help us cook the sail fish. He blew our minds and prepared it three ways for us. The restaurant was so busy but he took the time to do it for us. We had already heard this place was delicious but we saw first hand this was certainly true!

A lot of hype over this place, and it's all understandable. Contender for taco of the trip and much better than Quintonil tacos even. Simple but delicious and moorish food serving big portions at cheap prices. Fried chicken and grilled shrimp tacos were immense. The fish shack fries with shrimp also a game changer. Will be returning
