FocoLoco trattoria casalinga italiana - 77780 Tulum

Been craving Italian food in Tulum and came across FocoLoco...and it hit the SPOT! Feeling satisfied. Owner is super nice too and the bread is freshhhh

What a nice place to have some Italian favorites made by native of Puglia region in Italy. I’ve ordered Pasta Carbonara which was served with fresh bread for $120. A very nice price! There are also Italian deserts. Sadly, he doesn’t serve alcoholic beverages and the empty bottles of wine are for the decoration. I was hoping for a bottle of Peroni? Francesco is a very nice owner who cooks and serves you himself. Also, you can use local delivery service - Tomato to order online. He accepts credit cards thankfully!

This place is amazing, the owner is so attentive & friendly, everything he cooks is amazing. I got the spaghetti with fresh salmon & it was soo delicious and FRESH. The real star of the show is his desserts though!!! the best tiramisu i’ve had in my life & the panna cotta is also to die for. Probably have eaten here 4-5 times within my trips to Tulum & each time is better & better. Drinks are also good & his homemade bread is delicious to take back to your hotel to eat later!

so good!!!! went two nights in one week because we couldn't stop thinking about the pasta! best italian food in tulum :) the owner is great too, great service. will be returning soon!

We’ve gone here three times — Each time has been solid. The owner is always working too which makes this place more appealing. Support local businesses! The bolognese sauce is fantastic (on gnocchi or spaghetti). And if you’re wondering about your dollars, the price is perfect. 100pesos - 150pesos for most dishes and there’s always bread served beforehand.

As I write this review, the average score is 4.7, which usually means an exceptionally good place. While the place and staff are nice, I think the food was only average (I had the lasagna and some bread) and it took a long wait to get it. A nice place, but a 4.3 in my opinion.

A wonderful dining experience! I randomly came across this sweet little spot and my partner and I ended up having a wonderful dinner with dessert and drinks! I had the carbonara and my partner had the clam and white wine pasta - tiramisu for dessert and wine and delicious Negronis for drinks! The owner was lovely and attentive , the service was quick , prices were great. We will definitely be back again!

This is one of the better restaurants in Tulum. The owner and staff proved to be very humble and truly care about their food and their customers experience. We experienced a great yet modest dinner despite being vegetarian and asking for modifications of our order. The owner and staff really seem to care about our experience and met our requirements to make our evening as enjoyable as possible. The pasta and tiramisu was as by the book delicious and the environment with the jazz music flowing out of the speakers was extraordinary for being Tulum. Thank you for making our last night pleasant. We wish we had more cash to be able to tip accordingly cause they really deserves more.
