Gas Station Pemex - 18

Avoid this one. The gas scams are everywhere it seems at Mexico's Pemex stations, but this station's attendant was particularly brazen in his attempt to scam us. I've dealt with it before and know what to watch. We had to press him to zero out the pump. When it was time to pay, I was out of the car and verified the amount on the screen and handed him a bill showing and saying the amount (500). He fiddled around for change, pulled out a 50 instead of the 500 I gave him. He still tried to argue that I only gave him the 50. Unreal. After a bit of yelling, threatening to report him to Pemex (they've launched a new anti-scam initiative lately), and causing a scene, he gave me the 50 as change (a tad more than I was due) and said enjoy the extra pesos.

The Station is infested with thiefs. They handed us a receipt that showed a canceled transaction credit card transaction. Then made us give them cash. When we got home it turned out that the visa had been charged. They are total thiefs.

Same scam as the others posting here. My gas bill was 880 I handed him 2 - 500 peso bills. Dude pointed to the screen and then I see he only has in his hand a 500 peso and a 50 peso. This has happened to me before so I was ready for this as I only had the two bills on me to begin with and I showed him that when I handed them to him. I was trying to originally pay with a credit card because I was low on cash. When I realized what he was doing I immediately got in his face, pulled the money out of his shirt pocket, was reaching for his pants pocket while telling him what kind of BS this was and that I am getting my 500 peso bill back. He backed off, got my change of 200 pesos and it was over. Think I'll start getting some packing tape and tape each bill onto the pump from now on for the world to see what the denomination of the bill is.

Best make shift liquor and grocery store. Good place to get snacks before and after leaving beach. Staff is helpful and courteous. Also petroleum prices are reasonable and please tip your attendant, this is his livelihood. Great location

I visited today and went in to buy water. I went to the restroom and couldn't tell the floor was wet. There was a layer of water on the floor and you couldn't see it because it covered the entire floor. I ended up falling. I told the worker to put up a sign because I just fell and she responded with a 'I'll check it out' but never moved or attempted to do anything. I bought my water and on the way out I saw a 'caution slippery when wet' and asked If i could move it to the bathroom because it is really dangerous. I just got started at like I was annoying them. So I moved the sign and left. It wasn't until this evening that I noticed my leg has a huge bump and bruise, my arm is scratched and my lower back hurts.

If you want to be ripped off , definitely try this gas station. After the car in front of me paid by card, their card machine was not working all of a sudden but they did not even try to run the card despite asking several times. I paid 2x more than a regular time to fill the tank. Of course there was no manager to talk to. Very unpleasant experience. Try to avoid this station if you can

Be prepared for a slow filling process as there's usually just i e guy working the pumps. In a good day you'll get 2 guys and one truck filling 4 barrels I front if you ?. The Go- Mart is a great little place for last minute supplies , it's well stocked, has a small bakery section and has a mini wine / liquor section that sometimes has great promotions and sales. The usual convenience store staples of hotdogs and coffee are available and there's a window bar table you can use to have your snacks and coffee. It's clean and Covid protocols are in place so you will need you mask and s temperature check to enter. Wheelchair accessible.

Honest. Never had any issues. Store has everything you need. Great starting point for a day trip
