Glamping Xpu Ha - 77734 Xpu Ha

I was only in the bar / restaurant for a lunch. It was very disappointing. They are very overpriced, for example a simple smoothie (low quality, only crashed ice and frozen mango, small size) they charge 100 pesos!

Needs some improvements in bathrooms, but nice place...

Cool place, I wish there’s more places like that on the Mayan coast.

The view is spectacular and the cabins are clean enough. The not-always-clean shared bathrooms pretty much cancel anything that might be "glam" about a stay here, but it's a great place for rustic camping, if you don't mind being around other guests.

The location is very nice, directly at the beach. The girl at the reception was very nice. The tents are very basic, but OK. The bathroom was quite dirty and there's no hot water in the showers. Better use the toilet of another beach club. You can get food and drinks at the beach clubs, but they close after sunset. During the day the music is quite loud, but you can go to a place more quiet at the beach. At night the place is very calm and you can hear the sea. Wonderful!

Keep your wits about you! There is some scammy energy here and the receptionist lacks total emotional warmth. They also keep your passport, which I haven't seen written anywhere (and tried to keep it at the end for towels I was never given!). The beach of course is divine and the waiters/bar staff were really friendly. They're not rude, they just work a lot and most likely get underpaid... I got free breakfast as a Booking 'Genius' member, which was a fresh banana, melon, toast with jam, and coffee or juice (cafe o de jugo). It was good! If you can be assertive and even a bit aggressive/have strong boundaries with the reception staff, I recommend staying here. Other wise you might get conned.

Terrible. The only good thing about this place is the beach infront of it. That is also the only thing that is glamurous, all the other is just straight terrible. There is no floor in the tents, just sand. The matrasses is the cheapesr spring matress that could be found and probably very old too, I couldn’t fall asleep because the spring were literally hurting my hip and rib case. Matress, sheets and pillow were also very stale and bad smelling. Public bathrooms were dirty and didn’t meet even basic hygiene standards. The “lady” at reception desk seemed to be very bothered to desl with us, was super slow (even for mexican standards) and disn’t speak a word English (and seemed to be very proud about that). Overall, this was probably my worst accomodation experience ever and if I had s sleeping back with me, I would seriously rather slept on the beach.

When we arrived with our heavy bags, we were greeted from a very unpolite and arrogant receptionist. When we asked if we can put our heavy luggage into the room first and pay later she just said no not possible. When we wanted to pay with card, we needed to get inside the area - so we could have put our luggage into the room from the beginning on. The bed is very uncomfortable and the room is super hot. The bathroom is the most disgusting i've ever been on a camping. Showers are only cold and almost no waterpressure. The food is not really good but the beach is beautiful BUT only in the morning. Around noon the visitors from outside are coming and it's getting super crowded Big MINUS: they dont have any number on the internet. We tried to call them, because we had problems getting back to the area in time for checkout. And they charged us one night extra because we were late. But when we asked if they can at least give us a discount on the extra night because they are not able to put a simple number on the website or google maps. They were just getting unpolite and were not cooperating. The guy in charge was always polite and friendly. But the girls here seem to just hate their guest. I won't recommend.! It's in the middle of nowhere and to get to eat somewhere (because everything closes at 5pm nearby) is just way to expensive. Now we are waiting for more than 50 min for a taxi to arrive. It seems like they doing this on purpose because we asked for the discount because they have NO number anywhere on the internet.
