GRACIAS

Hidden treasure in CDMX. Diego is an amazing host. This is my go to place for whenever friends are visiting Mexico and I want to surprise them with a wholesome experience.

One of the best dining experiences in CDMX (that doesn't break the bank)! The restaurant just resumed operations 4 days ago, and we were lucky to secure a reservation. It is located on the rooftop of the building, with only about 12+ seats. The setting is cozy, romantic, and intimate, perfect for date nights and gathering with friends. The meal features a pre-fixe menu that changes every month. Wine & mezcal are included in the per person price, so it is really great value. They start serving the meal at the same time for all parties, so make sure you arrive on time! The starter was a lovely burrata cheese on bread. The restaurant caters to celiac and very kindly provided gluten-free variations (burrata cheese with pesto sauce) for us. The burrata cheese was fresh, creamy, and the truffle oil, balsamic reduction and pesto sauce delectable. The second course featured tuna sashimi with spicy mango sauce. The quality of the tuna was amazing, and we loved the kick of spiciness in the sauce. The third course was lamb legs with risotto. The lamb was a little overcooked for my liking (I prefer it medium-rare), but flavorful. The risotto was creamy, cheesy, and the right amount of al dente. The fourth course was quail with salad and mashed potato. By this course I was already full - which is a refreshing thing to say when you are having pre-fixe menus! The desserts were red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and strawberries, and the highlight - peanut butter milkshake (gluten-free)! The peanut butter milkshake is mind-blowing and left us craving for more, and a perfect ending to an impeccable meal. The service is attentive and feels warm and personal. We cannot wait to come back again next month when the menu changes - so happy to have discovered this hidden gem.

Amazingly themed and well crafted 9-12 course tasting menu (changing every 5 weeks), passionately made and delivered with a story for every dish. Recently opened and already award winning restaurant, I feel like we got in early. I just ate 9 Christmas dishes from all around the world and ??? wow. It was such a wonderful, delicate and delicious experience. Seriously a 2.5 hour dining experience that’s truly unique and unforgettable. The unlimited house wine and mezcal were ?. I really appreciate all the hard work put into this small intimate and kind experience.

Amazing time! Chef Diego does a superb job making the set menu a true experience. The menu we had was Christmas themed and it had Christmas dishes around the world. Diego himself comes to every table to explain the origins and history of each dish which is just unbelievable. There is no menu provided and each dish is a surprise. They serve unlimited house wine during the course. The experience lasted about 2.5 hours. Come very hungry! 9 courses.

I rarely give five star reviews. It’s hard to describe the experience into words. My only advice is to make a reservation (we happened upon the place spontaneously) and prepare to be enchanted. Most creative experience I’ve tried in México. Good for lovers of Mexican cuisine with a delicious and homey modern twist :)

We had the most amazing dinner tonight at Gracias Comedor with their new menu inspired by Jackson Pollock. We started with so much delicious seafood in a massive clam bake, and it was followed by the most thoughtful and tasty surprises, you will have to visit for yourself to understand! The creativity, attention to detail, flavor, story telling, and kind, top notch service made this a night to remember. We will absolutely return during our next visit to CDMX!

Easily the best meal and dining experience I've had in years! Head Chef Diego and his team craft an incredible (ever-changing) menu–with a small story to accompany each of the nine courses. Every single dish was more delicious than the last. We will return when we are back in Mexico City ?
