★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a memorable meal. Went here for an early dinner. The staff was so nice and accommodating to our broken Spanish. They gave great recommendations on food and drinks. Everything we tried was amazing! I would make a trip back to Mexico City just so I could come back here.
Hint: get the duck tacos mole and a couple of those gasolinazo cocktails! It’s a good time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first time trying Oaxacan cuisine and I must say that Guzina Oaxaca just inspired me to plan a trip to Oaxaca. The place was nice and cozy, with only 4 tables on the second floor. So make sure to make a reservation before heading there. The staff was very friendly, helpful by making recommendations and attentive because our glasses were never empty. I definitely would recommend trying the Flor de Calabaza as an appetizer since it has a unique sweet and savory flavor. The octopus was very good as well but make sure to leave room for dessert because the Pastel de Elote is amazing and is served with a side of rose petal sorbet. Pair it with a Cafe de Olla and you’re good to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ That one star was for the food, which was fine, with a modicum of originality- not memorable. Mole with duck was a fair try. The drinks lacked imagination- just lazily diluted purées of some base fruits - alcohol for distraction. Desserts were forgettable. That was the good bit. The wait staff was disinterested, parsimonious with recommendations or just even words or just the actual act of waiting on tables. I would give 5 stars for the snobby air the place wore. This is for 1000/pesos a per person dinner btw. Don’t go unless you relish some Polanco snobbery with your Oaxaca nosh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant has a very friendly staff but the food was decent. We had me as the vegan in the group which they did a great job accommodating but I had a lot of help from my coworker who explained it in Spanish. But even the folks who are not vegan thought the food was good not great. The presentation of the food was very nice. The cocktails were better than the food. We had a couple of nice bottles of wine but not sure if me or the folks I was with would go back. I'd give it a 3.5 star if I could because it was slightly better than okay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food, excellent service, excellent settings. Definitely worth visiting if/when in Polanco/CDMX. The neighborhood is great for walking, shopping and meeting friends, which adds to the attraction of the restaurant. The food was excellent; interesting flavors and perfect portions. Outdoor seating makes you feel at ease.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I want to give it 5 stars because the steak and short rib was excellent the main appetizer for 4 wasnt that great also the pasta with the short rib was not tasty at all . I think I left 1500 pesos on the table by accident so I hope they split it if they found it! lol

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food from Oaxaca! The attention they payed to every detail both in food and service made the restaurant 100% recommended and totally worth it to come back. For example, after taking our order, they prepared at our table, for free, a handmade traditional salsa with fresh ingredients just as spicy as we chose. My favorite dishes were the pumpkin flower with cottage cheese and honey (picture) and the duck tamales with mole.
