★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A gorgeous location serving a nice menu of traditional Yucatecan food. You can't beat the combination of food and ambiance at this location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food in the buffet although little variety (the typical dishes you find everywhere). There is a small folk art museum which is worth the visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ High grade surroundings, used to be a sisal factory. Old smoke stack and cave and engine. Food was good (see pic), seating area was relaxing. Cool gift shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had reservations for our large group at a beautiful big table overlooking the cenote. Lunch was a buffet, and I wish I hadn't let pride keep me from going back for seconds (or thirds). Highlights included cochinita pibil and fresh corn tortillas delivered to the table. We could have spent the whole afternoon eating and walking it off on the gorgeous grounds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a stop on our tour through Carnival. The food was delicious! The guacamole and chips were super delicious! It was a nice place to walk around and see how an old hacienda worked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good authentic Yukatan food in the middle of the jungle of Merida. Service was great and many waiters were around to help. The prices also were very reasonable. This place can be hard to find and requires a small walk around the shops and entry building but it is well worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, beautiful place. We stopped here for lunch (I had the Cochinita Enterrada and an Ensalada Mixta, the pork was fantastic, the salad was okay) and to swim. There's a ton to see on the grounds, between the art and the pools and the plants. Not sure if all haciendas are like this one, as it's the first I've ever been to, but I can definitely see why people would want to get married here. It'd be an amazing venue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hacienda San Pedro Ochil is located 50 kilometers South of Merida. Early past century if dedicated its production to henequen fiber.
It is dated from XVII century as most of the estates in the region. When the fever to produce Henequen fiber ended, it was totally abandoned and left for mother nature to do its task.
Only in 1997 a company bought the state and what was left and converted it into an event place, where weddings are made, as well as restaurant area where you can dine.
