Micaela did my hair while I was out here on holiday. I had been here a month and although reluctant to chance a new salon (and in Mexico) she had some good reviews on Facebook. I booked an app with her and could not have made a better choice. She did my highlights just perfectly and gave me the micro trim I needed. Walked out feeling a million bucks and wish I lived locally to see her every six weeks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found the salon on google, and wanted to give it a try before leaving the country. I’m not someone to write a review when I have a bad experience. But when I biked to the location for 25 minutes in the heat, when I arrived she didn’t seem welcoming or happy to see me. She didn’t say anything to me the whole time I was in the chair, didn’t offer me a water or anything. I felt very uncomfortable being there. Then her friend arrived and she was talking a lot to her. I found that she was handeling me as a client unprofessionally and didn’t make me feel welcome. However, the end result was nice. But I wouldn’t come back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I scheduled a root touch up. I biked here for 25min in the heat & it turns out she doesn’t do bleach root touch ups. I would suggest adding that to the salon website, it’s misleading & a waste of time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm staying in Tulum for a month and decided to finally lighten up my hair color starting off with highlights. After searching for a good hair salon, Halo popped up and decided to make an appointment. I am SO happy I went to Micaela @ Halo. We did a partial highlight and she was very thorough in explaining the process it would take to get my hair how I want it. She was professional, super talented & an expert in her craft. Not to mention she has a cute little hair studio and the cutest rescue dogs! I may even see her one more time before leaving, I dont remember the last time my hair looked this good.

She checks all the boxes: Quality, professionalism, technique, experienced and final result ? not to mention donating all tips to help stray dogs in Tulum. She really went above and beyond helping style my hair and giving suggestions. She welcomed me and made me feel comfortable and at ease in her beautiful space. We were both really happy with the end result and it's great to see her care for my hair as much as I do.
Thank you for the awesome experience and if I stay longer in Tulum I will definately be going back ?

She did exactly what I asked for and was super quick and polite. She even suggested some restaurants to visit while I’m in Tulum. Thank you again!
