Hertz - 24190 Campeche

Estaba un poco nervioso por rentar con Hertz, pero la verdad es que todo estuvo muy bien desde el inicio. Joel en el mostrador siempre muy atento y resolviendo mis dudas, al entregar el auto todo estuvo en orden, la unidad no era la que esperaba, pero el auto que me ofrecieron estaba en perfecto estado y fue un buen compañero en toda mi aventura en la península, al regresar el auto al aeropuerto, todo estuvo en orden y hasta el momento no ha habido cobros extras que no estuviera de acuerdo. Leo muchos comentarios sobre el seguro obligatorio, pero personalmente creo es bueno contratarlo, aunque sean muy buenos manejando, los accidentes ocurren y siempre es mejor prevenirse y más cuando uno va de vacaciones.

Muy mala experiencia, en general siempre rento en Hertz, lo he hecho en Chetumal, Cancún, los Cabos, la Paz... Y siempre los ejecutivos han Sido muy amables, en esta ocasión, no respetaron reserva hecha, y argumentaban que no había disponibilidad al menos que pagaramos más del 200% del costo al cual aparecía mi reserva, el servicio de los agentes es pésimo, incluso te dejan hablando sólo, y quieren que forzosamente rentes el auto en el costo que ellos te indican, a pesar de que tengas ya una reserva hecha. No lo recomiendo para nada, es preferible renta en europcar, a pesar de que no tenían disponibilidad nos solucionaron enseguida y fueron muy amables a pesar de no tener reserva hecha!

I tried to rent a car from three places in Campeche. The service was horrible at the first two. Hertz was the only decent rental agency i found.

International folks: DON'T RENT HERE! I tried renting a car and my experience was extremely poor. Agents ran my credit card, they finalized paperwork AND THEN determined my signatures on passport and Drivers License weren't good enough. They had me signing waivers and disclosures for over an hour to rent a car and once everything had been signed and charged they denied me a car. They could have started the entire transaction by asking for two forms of ID right from the start, but their attention to detail is poor and inadequate.

If you need to rent a vehicle in campeche I recommend any other company. There is Europcar/national at the airport, and a few others around the city of Campeche. Hertz are unreliable, and ruined plans I had made for my vacation. I booked my car rental weeks in advance and had it confirmed on the website. When I arrived at the airport, I waited for 1 hour in line to get to the desk. The workers there saw that I was waiting. One of them saw that I was trying to wave to him to ask him what the wait was about, but he ignored me as he was walking around on a video call with his friends. When I finally got to the desk, I was told that I couldn't get the rental car that they confirmed to me weeks ago because they had no cars available! I was told to give them my phone number as they'd have a car available at 3pm that same day (although I was told a different one). Later in the day at 3pm I received no phone call. I called them up and was told that they would have a car shortly and that they would call me. I received nothing. I called again at 6:30pm and was told I probably would not get anything that day as they close at 7pm, and they said they would call me first thing the next day. The next day I still received no call for the whole day, of the next day, or the day after that...

I have been using Hertz for a while and after seeing the disappointing rating of the Campeche office I was worried about my booking... Luckily, everything went in the order I used to. I booked on the official website and went to the airport on the day of my rental. They were friendly and could even speak a little English. My car was ready, sanitisered and actually got me a very nice Mitsubishi SUV. They even took me to the car, showed around and in total 15-20 mins (incl. paperwork) I got the keys in my hand. There is nothing wrong with Hertz Campeche. If you use to bigger car rentals, and know how they charge and work you won't have surprises. I actually had worst experience with the 'highly rated' semi-pro car rentals in the city, who were either closed or had no cars available... I have a feeling the competing companies are trying to bring Hertz down in Campache... The amount of negative feedback is a bit nonsense... I also had similarly good experience with Hertz in Tuxtla Gutierrez recently.

Do not trust a reservation here, even if you paid online they don't acually have a car for you. "Wait-list" of 48h they said. Terrible!

The worst experience! DO NOT TRUST HERTZ! My car wasn’t available and they do not answer to my situation and I had to change all my travel plans because of this and spent a lot of money they said they would pay me. Of course there is no answer on anything. RENT FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE.
