★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an evening meal and it was terrible. Service was sloppy, food was badly concieved, poorly flavoured and badly cooked. Steak was greasy and under-seasoned. Sauces were corn-starch snotty gloop with no flavour. They should close the kitchen for giving the hotel a bad name

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Potentially beautiful hotel run without aesthetic sense, without charm or know how and with little attention to the real needs of guests. The beds are very very soft and the the solution given was outrageously uncomfortable. There is not interent in the rooms. The breakfast is poor and not in keeping with contemporary dietary requirements: no brown bread, no alternatives to diary milk. The staff seem unmotivated or over zealously helpful. Last but not least the better rooms of the hotel look onto a pedestrian street notorious for its outdoors bars and pubs and the noise and smell of food at night is phenomenal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lunch in courtyard. Fresh salad with lettuce and fruit. Pan fried fish with garlic butter, white rice. and fresh julienned vegetables. Desert was home made ice cream. Excellent waitress. Best meal in Mexico. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved this hotel! We spent one night in Campeche which is ab absolutely lovely place, and the hotel is located right at the heart of it. The staff is really lovely and kind, and the rooms are beautiful and the hotel has a lot of charisma! Furniture are beautiful and you truly feel the campeche spirit when staying at hotel don gustavo! Very relaxing pool as well as great breakfast and comfortable beds :) would highly recommend!
