★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very good base for hiking the ruinas de calakmul or other places. The host is extremely friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We also had dinner there - it was definitely worth it ☺️

The room and the shower drain smelled so much that we could not sleep. So many bugs (coakroaches, flying bugs...).
Cold shower because "who needs a warm shower in Mexico", said the manager.
We ask for a refund at 1am but we got yelled at and threatened to leave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I put 1 star and it is definitely not deserve more ! We leave the hostel in the middle of the night how smelly the room was. The smell of mold was so strong that I sneeze all the time.
The director suggests to change my room for another one but it was still smelly.
Of course he didn’t want to refund. Bad faith

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasantly suprised, we arrived after an exhausting day at Calakmul (aren't those roads fun...not) anyway Casa Moran has recently been renovated. The rooms are very nice with gorgeous bathroom with huge showers. As we were buggered we decided to have dinner downstairs, that too gets full marks, excellent fast service, lovely food and very well priced. If your looking for value modern and friendly, this is it. Enjoy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent location with a 24hr desk and close to the ADO bus terminal for those arriving at 2am or other unholy hours. Hotel was extremely clean, modern and comfortable. Hot water and water pressure both strong. Restaurant and breakfast on premise add to convenience and one of the best in town. Very good value for the price.
Negatives: WiFi is unfortunately EXTREMELY unreliable and constantly disconnects - not suitable for digital nomads - and there also seem to be a few bugs infiltrating the room. Would give 5 stars if not for the wifi
