A fairly western cafe with bakery next door on the corner, serving good coffee and various local dishes. Open till late.

Not enough marzipan filling in almond croissants and Nutella. Never any coffee cream. Owners are cheap

We had breakfast there - scrambled eggs and fresh juice, it was overall a nice experience

Bakery has a good selection of pastry. The food itself was good but the man serving us charged an exorbant exchange rate. 23 pesos is not $3 USD. I mentioned that the exchange rate was off and he just shrugged. Not worth wasting time arguing over a $1.50 so I let it go (and frankly looking at the shops in the area they certainly need customer) I just don't like being taking advantage of. The grocery store on the same street and another restaurant all charged fair conversions. Shame on la tartaleta for their practices.

Great little spot for a meal or the bakery attached is heavenly for inexpensive tasty coffee drinks and baked goods. Their tiramisu is phenomenal - you must try it! Loved going early in the mornings to the bakery to study Spanish and sip on coffee and an almond croissant. The paninis at the café are a great value and definitely tasty. Pretty “western” spot but I think they have food chiliquiles here based on a friends feedback. Friendly staff and clean space. I decided to find a room here VS on the beach because of this place initially haha - plus I just enjoy living closer to the locals than all the hustle and bustle (the tartaleta on the malecon where everything is baked costs some extra pesos for convenience and view). For tacos, be sure to ask for “Uncle Jorge” just down the street for some homemade yummy taco options. Nice family too.

Very nice bar restaurant with affordable prices. I paid in USD and received the correct amount in change in local Peso currency. Great food and drinks. Free fast wifi available.
