Hotel Casa San Miguel - 37700 San Miguel de Allende

I thought it was a nice place to stay. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and the location was excellent.

The location is good, nearly to the principal places. The rooms are very pleasant. The services are ok. The people is nice

Friendly staff but no noise control after 12 am Also pillows are not inin good conditions and in my room people could see through it. I had to manage a curtain.

Positive: Staff are extremely nice, very helpful. I guess they try to make the best with that they have but owner just doesn't seem to want to improve the rooms a lot outside the aesthetics.. Negative: Altought the rooms at first glance look good they lack proper or common sense stuff. First room didn't even had a curtain on a medium sized window that faces the stairs, receptionist told me that owner hasn't decided to install one so guests just block the view with a pillow, clothes or something. I asked to be moved to a different room and that was better but the issue with the window halfway remained. There was a curtain that partially block the view to the inside. Room was extremely noisy. You could hear people yelling late at night when they are arriving to their rooms at 3am. I got waked up at 6am by the bells of a nearby church, then again at 7a and 8a. I guess the owner could install double paned windows instead. Bathroom looks new but was not very convenient in the way that toilet is inside the shower and also the shower floor is at the same level as the bathroom floor without any division, so you would get good amount of water overflowed outside the shower that you would later need to dry up with a towel if you wanted to use the mirror bathroom sink without getting your feet wet..

Called in prior to arriving if the rooms had wifi and a smart TV receptionist confirmed along with a room. As I arrive to the room it turns out neither the TV or WIFI work and when they park your car they take it to a different location where if you need anything from your car you’ll have to patiently wait 20mins for them to bring it here. They offered me 10% for the broken of WiFi and TV because the couldn’t fix it, which was a slap on the face to me. Not to mention the restroom is the size of a closet. Really poor experience I’m never coming here again.

Positive: This hotel by far offered the best value for location. It was right in the middle of Centro just blocks from the cathedral. The terrace within the property was nice and free parking was a huge bonus.. Negative: The room was not particularly clean or inviting. The dirty floor mats, dingy comforters and pillows and stained walls made the space feel dirty and dated. A new coat of paint and fresh bedding would make a big difference!.

Positive: In the center of town, so very practical. The place is cute and colonial and the staff wan very nice.. Negative: The bathroom design is a bit uncomfortable, considering the water from the shower gets everywhere. You need lo put towels down to contain it. You can hear pretty much every noise from outside..

The room was not sufficiently cleaned for this period of time. The internet did NOT work, which I needed for my job. If your internet is non-existent, don't advertise it as a part of your offerings! Then people can be pleasantly surprised if it does work sporadically. I checked out after one night, and though they promised me a discounted rate for the internet issue, they denied it when I left. It's also "exclusivo," which is "cash only," which means it's a dicey operation legally speaking. This reflects poorly on the rest of their practices around cleaning and so on. There are dozens of other places to choose from. Avoid this one.
