Hotel Castillo Huatulco - 70987 Crucecita

This is our fourth time in Huatulco but 1st time at Castillo. First off wonderful place. Food was great, staff was awesome. Luis was a fantastic waiter as so was Jorge. Our room was clean and spacious and the large balcony faced the street which we enjoyed watching all the people walk by. Really liked the lobby, again sit back have a cold drink and people watch!! The beach club you could take the shuttle or for a 20 minute walk you can get there. Which we did as we got to see more of Huatulco. The beach club was awesome. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Lots of loungers and umbrellas. Juan and Kimberly was our servers on the beach. They were great!!! We really loved the location Castillo is at. Just a short walk to Santa Cruz and to get to Crececita you can take the new walkway there which is about 20 minute walk. We would recommend Castillo to anyone! Thanks everyone at Castillo for an amazing time!!!

We wanted to stay in a hotel which was not outside the town area. We had previously stayed in Tangolunda Bay but wanted to be able to walk around town. This hotel provided that opportunity because, as it turns out, it was only two blocks away from the Town Square, shops, and live music in the evenings. The hotel itself is very clean, good water pressure, beds were fine, and the food service was remarkable for a non five star facility. We met some people who chose to do some restaurant tourism for their suppers that we had no desire to do the same as we found the food quality and service to be excellent. They have a beach club and shuttle service, the beach club was one Bay over and was a 10 or so minute walk which we did every time after the first. Lunches are served at the beach club and the water, while warm, was very rough and ill-advised for most people. There are smallish but nice pools at both facilities. We found the front desk staff, particularly Ricardo, to be exceptionally helpful and friendly. Would we go back? Absolutely! FYI, next door they are expanding and adding more rooms. We didn't find any concerns with construction noise however. From what we heard, the owner or owners are very Hands-On, walking through the facility looking for things that need to be addressed.

We visited on New Year's day 2020. It was busy but not crowded. Our waitress Anna was great. It was a pleasant surprise when we were told our entrance fee of 200 pesos each applies to our food and drinks! We enjoyed the tacos and Pina Coladas and only paid another 100 pesos. A wonderful day and a treasure! We will visit often.

The hotel was really comfortable. You can pay for the all inclusive price and you get breakfast, meal and supper as well as some drinks like beer, margaritas, mojitos, whiskey, etc. The hotel has a beach club, which is pretty cozy. The bad part was the cleaning service, it would be better.

Great, friendly staff ready to help you at any time. Nice and clean beach. The hotel was very clean in general, but if you want to sleep before the bar closes at 11 pm and don't like the backsound of music it might not be suitable for you. The food buffet could have been a little better, but it might as well have been my taste. A very Mexican hotel, for those who want to experience Mexican holidays. Most important, the hotel staff really care about your safety, so if you're from a foreign country you can still feel very comfortable, and most staff speak very well English.

Basic-yet-functional facilities, but nothing's fancy either at the hotel proper or the beach club. Food is fresh and plentiful in the buffet, and menu options are limited yet cost-effective when considering the size of the portion. All in all, a nice place to stay when traveling on a precise budget. Recommended.

Clean, well-maintained Mexican hotel. Staff are friendly, and seem content. Food is delicious, fresh, and served with pride, but won't appeal to those who don't appreciate (or don't want to try) Mexican selections. Beach club is a great, food there is similarly excellent. Castillo is not a mega-resort, but is charming & friendly. Would happily return!

The welcoming was pleasant. The room was clean and the room service was top notch. I had thee pool view with balcony(331) I included the breakfast buffet which I regret. We were a party of 6 and had to wait about 25 minutes for a table. Next time will skip that and find breakfast in the “centro”
