Hotel Chablis Palenque - 29960 Palenque

Great location for walking at night or during the day to the nearby restaurants and shops. Close to the archaeological site by driving. Professional staff and beautiful hotel. Rooms are big and in great condition. I would go back. It only needs more plugs for charging phones and other equipment

Stayed here on 2 separate nights. I realized the queen beds in mexico are really compareable to full size beds in the U.S. Had some issues with the front desk staff who wanted me to pay for airport transportation when I had canceled those reservations. We had a guide waiting for us and he wouldn't let us check in until we came to some agreement with the cost of sending a driver to the airport which we didn't use. Obviously I didn't pay for something I was not at fault for, but he did a good job of making feel guilty when he told me it would come out of his check This was the only hiccup, the hotel is very clean. It's well maintained and very safe to stay at. Great vibe and centrally located near some really good restaurants. Security staff made my family feel safe. Stay near the hotel zone when visiting. It's only about 2 blocks but wouldn't recommend leaving beyond that point at night.

Only just arrived at Hotel Chablis and don’t need more time to know this is my type of hotel. The entrance is pleasant and convenient off the road. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The pool has two levels and is in a courtyard surrounded by trees with the sound of birds overhead. The pool and sun lounge area is very clean and comfortable. The rooms is very clean. The bedding good quality, and the bed firm but comfortable. Shower is superb with lots of hot water and a great flow and spray. Overall I can’t wait to stay another night here and I’m sure my husband and I will return. We could spend a week here without having much else to do!

Superb small hotel. Large rooms, with balconies, hotel pool with whirl pool. Great breakfast buffet. On site restaurant and bar. Lovely service

Chablis has an excellent location, but its wifi is extremely slow and does not work in the rooms. One needs to be in the lobby to get internet access, and even then it is painfully slow and unreliable. Very disappointing for a "3 star hotel."

It's very tempting to stay on the direct road to palenque site..but with the in town Chablis you get to stay in a pleasant shaded green area with plenty of choice for bars and shops. We did both areas and I think the in town chablis edged it for the extra variety on the doorstep.

The hotel is located in a beautiful street with tall trees that give that jungle feel. In the middle a swimming pool and around it the hotel rooms. Our room overlooked the parking lot, which is hidden behind a large gate (I think they should inform customers better about this parking option beforehand). There is room for about 10 cars, so not enough if everyone comes by car. The air conditioning is centrally controlled but was set up correctly for us. We also had a small balcony (but during the day with the sun on it, it was too hot). Room spacious enough and clean. Good Wi-Fi. Tasty guacamole and poolside service. In-room safe and plenty of power outlets. When we had problems with the toilet, a technical man came very quickly to solve it, as well as when we had a lizard in the room, great! Good hot shower. At the pool it sometimes gets very busy with children. I had the impression that these were not all hotel guests, but friends of staff and restaurant guests who allowed themselves a spot at the pool after dinner. On New Year's Eve, the music was extremely loud until 12:45 am (while the rest of the city was a dead end). Buffet breakfast poor and expensive (MEX 200 pp) 10 times faster than the opinion restaurant further down the street. No elevator. Swimming pool steps are a drama; many adults had trouble getting out, one man even had to be helped out by others. The desk is not suitable to work/sit behind it, since the seat of the chair and the drawer underneath the desk only leave a few centimetres in between, so no room for your legs.
