Hotel del Sol - 77520 Cancún

Súper friendly staff , specially Ms. Luisa, she was very helpful , she made our stay more pleasant and helped us find things to do around Cancun. Breakfast is limited but I was ok with that, on the page they advertise a pool which they don’t have , instead they have a nice terrace with a shower there , we found that nice and we didn’t care much about the swimming pool since we spent quite some time on the beach. Ferry to Isla mujeres is just across the street which is very convenient , not too much to do in Puerto Juarez but public transportation is available and not expensive and hotel zone and Tulum Ave are not too far from there . Overall I will definitely recommend Hotel del Sol . ? Muchas gracias a los empleados de Hotel del Sol, muy amables y serviciales especialmente gracias a la Sra. Dingy, didn't seem that clean and bad location unless you're just trying to get to the ferry. Pretty much nothing to eat or do within walking distance. Was glad it was just 1 night

To start with whats good about this hotel, its very clean as house keeping are really passionate to do their job. The lady is very talented and keeps smile on our face with figures she made with towels. She was our hero during our stay as everyday she impressed us with something else! Its location just opposite to Port Juarez marina, so at least you are near the beach a way from city chaos. Budget cost and that expansive compare to other hotels in Cancun. They also have good parking inside the premises. What troubled us, Internet connection was very bad in rooms so really forget about that. Breakfast was terrible with one choice everyday (mostly two pieces of pancakes), so almost sweet one every morning. Sometimes you get good fried eggs (just one day a week). The hotel is very close to the street so it gets very noisy if you try to sleep with windows open. There is one supermarket opposite to hotel and that's it. Supermarkets in there are mostly for chips and drinks. Some sandwiches but all filled with salami.

I stay here every time i come. Super easy location. Food house keeping clean sheets. Safe never had an issue and the dudes/chick at desk is super happy to help you get in amd settled if a room comes unavailable.

Pretty basic hotel, good for waiting for a flight back from Cancun or going to Isla Mujeres, the Jetway ferry port is directly across the street.

Good cost benefit. In front of ferry to Isla de las Mujeres. A bit far from restaurantes. One must rent a car, get taxi or bus. Uber is quite difficult to get.

I stayed in the apartment out back for several weeks. Overall it's a nice place, but it has no hot water and the WiFi was so bad you can't use it. Then you would have the construction workers starting at 7am 6 days a week banging away all day.

Beyond the rooms which are fantastic with large beds and everything necessary for an enjoyable stay (i really appreciated the lack of tiny toiletries which are an awful and unnecessary waste, opting for eco friendly wall fitted shower gel etc), more importantly it was the kindness and friendliness of the staff. Something a little profound but very special. It was a sad but perfect ending to my time in mexico. Thank you so much!
