Best bang for your buck! Clean, nice pool, and an amazing taco stand just across the street!

Hell & heaven in room 22 - Infierno y Gloria Room 22 is a small cozy room on the main level with a fast access to the pool and restaurant plus you can hear the waves break in the peaceful silence ( this is what I define as glory/heaven). Unfortunately, room 22 is also adjacent to the maintenance room, on the path to other rooms on different halls and very close to a small social area…. I have had the WORST NOISY NIGHTS with drunken people returning between 1:30 and 3:30 a.m laughing, singing and talking extremely loud. When complaining to the security guards by reception they mentioned they could not do much, I have complained twice to the front desk for two consecutive days, and they offered to change our room for one hidden in an interior hall that seems to have the same noise problems.

Mixed review the location and pool by the ocean can’t be beat but the service was less than gracious. There’s a restaurant/bar on the property but it closes at 7:30! That’s early and I arrived at about 7:15 and I found out then when it closed so I asked them to hurry so I could eat, I was tired and hungry and picked this place for the ocean view and restaurant bar on site so I didn’t have to hunt food around town. Service was slow Ana then they insisted on having someone escort me to my room. I just wanted to eat. I arrived at The restaurant at 7:28 and they told me it was closed! As I asked to be helped it turned 7:30 and the staff was indignant and rude. They wouldn’t allow Me to eat in the restaurant ans only begrudgingly agreed to serve me on my room or outside. As I was tired and hungry I greed but I didn’t feel warm or welcomed much less valued guest. I felt like an inconvenience. I tried to order a mojito to go with my meal. “Oh we don’t have the stuff to make that” they were impolite and a mess. Then in the morning they offered a free breakfast! More like prison rassions. 3 slices of baguette and 4 Tiny slices of pineapple. The woman at the front said it was a fruit plate coffee and pandulce ans that sounds delightful- it was far from it. End notes it’s a cute rustic hotel on the beach with comfortable rooms - not fancy but charming and Comfortable. The food and service really took away from what could have been a lovely experience. Customer service and how people make you feel is what really sticks! I wouldn’t return regardless of ocean proximity or affordability. See the picture of the “breakfast”.

Well, it's cheap but...I wouldn't recommend as there's no fridge, no coffee maker ( as promised when I booked online ) and some seemingly nice local guests asked for our room number repeatedly. Not a good feeling there. Red alert. Beds horrible, and the whole night I was fearful of bed bugs and cockroaches...smashed dead bug carcasses on the walls all over the room. Walls thin you hear EVERYTHING. Including toilet flushes of surrounding suites. If you're desperate, sure, but the Porto novo across the street is a way better Cheaper option. Just don't. That's all I can say. I felt like I needed to be fumigated upon leaving. I learned some lessons.

Great value with an ocean-view room! My only request is that the hotel consider a different gate option to/from the beach other than asking a human to open the padlock each time. We really enjoyed our stay and the location!

Although it’s outdated it didn’t bother me much, the bed was comfortable and the staff was kind and helpful. HOWEVER, we ended up only staying 3 days out of 7 at this hotel. Soon after the first night we started noticing rashes on our skin, each day new ones would appear. On the third day we woke up with an extra guest between our sheets. Yep, you guessed it BEDBUGS! What we thought was something else turned out to be bedbugs. Although the manager tried to help by switching to another hotel we didn’t want to risk it. Like anyone would say he said it hasn’t happened in the 15 years I’ve managed the hotel. We didn’t believe him. We ended up canceling our remaining reservation and moving to a completely different hotel. I don’t think we will ever return.

Good check in with help with luggage to room. No nice man. Thought I would have a fridge but none! Pool is ok great view but needs a cleaning. Location is really good close to downtown. Because no fridge and no coffee maker pass next visit. The restaurant was also too busy to sit.
