Comfortable and clean rooms with very cold AC. The food (every meal) is phenomenal. The proprietors, Fernando and Mary, are very friendly and accommodating! It's super rustic here, but lacking in nothing. It's a very special place! Warning - lots of dogs off leash, so if you bring your pet, know there's a chance of dog fighting.

I stayed for a week in the before-times, and when the virus let me, I came back. It's a tough drive to get to from Puerto Vallarta for Americans used to the interstates. But 20 minutes here, immersed in the sounds of the waves, and the stress evaporates. Ask, and Marisol can arrange a fantastic massage for you. Your room almost certainly features a view of the beach. The water is more suited to surfcasting than it is to surfing or swimming, but around the way is "Lover's Beach" and the main beach is pretty long, so it may be more varied. There's tons of hammocks and seats to read a book in solitude or pull up and chat with an old friend you haven't met yet. Plan to eat the food Mari and the girls make. Better food cannot be found. Mari and Fernando's son Joe runs the bar. You just write down in the book what you have and settle up when you leave. "No hay problemas" is the theme for the stay. It holds true.
