Hotel Indigo Veracruz Boca del Rio, an IHG Hotel - 94298 Boca del Río

Staff is horrible. I am a Spire member and booked a master suite weeks in advance. Upon arrival, they did not recognize me as a member, they did not have my room selection and told me that I would be put in a smaller room or I could go elsewhere. The breakfast buffet was terrible. Poor selection and poor quality. Charged for cup of coffee in the mornings and charged for water. Did not clean my room for 3 days and was told that maybe they would come the following day. Room safe did not work. No clock. Poor tv channel selection. Small tv and extremely poor lighting.

This is a very nice hotel. My experience was so much better than expected. As one of the lesser known brands of ihg I didn't expected much. My expectations were exceeded. Rooms are cozy and spacey. Decorations and colors are adequate for beach weather, nor as the express brand. It has a medium swimming pool, even with 10 people in it it didn't feel crowded

I spent four nights at the Hotel Indigo Veracruz, and every one of them was perfect. The hotel is very nicely decorated, the rooms nicely designed, the bed luxurious and very comfortable. My room was quiet which I greatly appreciated. The hotel has a nice a pool with pleasant surroundings. The restaurant served excellent food, although the breakfast buffet was over-priced and lacking in options. If you want breakfast, order from the menu and skip the buffet. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

Beautiful place close to many interesting place, good atención and comfortable rooms

If not for experience at check in , I would have given 5 stars overall. Anyone booking and prepaying the room in advance should be aware, take proof of statements showing your card was charged for booking. We were made to pay again at the hotel even though I showed email proving room was paid. Spoke to my CC company and they confirmed I had already paid. Relayed info to staff and still asked me for a CC statement. I was asked to use computer to provide proof...then a few minutes later, a staff member comes apologizing to us. She spoke to another coworker who confirmed our prepayment was true. We were reimbursed. Rest of the stay was great and service was excellent.

Seriously was super duper impressed with the hotel... Again! I've stayed here twice now and both times I've had a fantastic experience. My only down side is, pay attention to the specials in the restaurant... They are decieving and kind of expensive for food you can get way cheaper and better in nearby restaurants. The pool is really shallow. 3ft is the max depth! But still had fun with my niece. The staff is fantastic! Especially Estrella! She was great and even left us a personal note in our room! Always attentive and super quick with anything needed!. Overall great experience! Thank you again for the stay and I'll be back!

I am not giving a higher rate because we didn't have hot water for several days (more than 5 days) during our stay. However, employees are nice and the room size is good. Also there is good bed and pillows. The curtains don't close completely, though. There was no fridge in the room but they did install some one old for us after we requested. The pool only takes sunlight for about 3 hours in the afternoon. The gym has good equipment but it is very warm specially in the afternoon. The breakfast is awful, there is always rotten fruit and no variety of dishes.

The staff is very friendly and professional. The public spaces are clean and inviting. The lighting is soft and not glaring. Beds and linens super comfy and plush. Rooms quiet very little noise transfer. Pool off lobby very fresh and we'll maintained. Restaurant and room service hours were all day but the menu was clumsy and it was hit or miss with the food. One day breakfast buffet was great and varied, the next it felt like rewarmed leftovers. More attention to detail and training for restaurant. A $10 hamburger shouldn't be ruined by cold undercooked sparsely plated fries for example. Dining room should have salt and pepper and condiments. Serve coffee with milk etc. Sometimes I'd have to ask 3 times for basics in dining room. Some waitstsff is great others should be parking cars or something. Overall though it's a super comfy hotel a couple blocks from the beach and was the best sleep I've had in 6 weeks. Highly recommend.
