Hotel Kavia Plus - 77500 Cancún

I decided to stay here after reading its advertisement offering AC in rooms. It was over 90 degrees, so I jumped on deal. The "ac" was a small wall unit. It didn't blow fast, and didn't get the room below 75 degrees? shower was borderline cold. All that being said, the room was clean, and I felt safe. Considering I paid less than $40 for a night, I will give 3*

DEFINITELY AVOID THIS PLACE !! WILL ALSO REPORT THEM ON ALL PLATFORMS !!! 1) I booked a king size bed room, however they gave me a two-bedded room without asking me. I showed them my reservation details and they said king size room doesn't have window. Why do they tell this now? Booking.com doesn't say this. Totally unprofessional. THEY DON'T CARE what you have booked. 2) ) Ridiculously, I saw my room was (so-called)  cleaned just after I returned from the so-called breakfast. However, bed linens were dirty a kind of muddy. It was like somebody put their muddy foot on the both beds. I asked the reception to tell housekeepers to change them. They said ok. However, when I returned to my room in the evening same dirty linens were still there. Are you kidding me ? Or you are racist ? 3) There must have been a coffee/tea machine based on my reservation. They didn't provide it. 4) Breakfast is absolutely insufficient and very tasteless. Very basic. Also you have to wait them to prepare. So amateur. 5) Toilet flies are eveywhere. Floor tiles were full of dust. Towels and bed linens were smelling bad. 6) There is a sensor sound/beep in every 15 seconds that lasts 7/24. It's very disturbing when you are trying to sleep. There is also another one in the mornings. It sounds like a bank queue beep. Very frustrating. Nobody cares. 7) Housekeepers chat loudly at 9 am nearby the rooms. Somebody must remind them that this is a hotel (well, a so-called hotel of course) not a cafe. SUMMARY : Definitely, I don't recommed this hotel. AVOID this place and stay somewhere else if your trip to Cancun is worth it. This place is definitely not worth for money. So amateur. I will write this review on all other travel platforms as well to save people's time & money.

Not value for money. My room was cleaned (!) when I am at breakfast. However the bed linens were dirty. I asked the reception to tell the housekeepers to change it. They said ok. However they didnt. Also it's very noisy. Not honest hotel. I don't recommend.

I do not recommend this hotel as rooms are super warm, airless and sticky (no windows!). Our worst surprise was that we booked a standard room with a double bed but only got a bed by far smaller than a queen size bed (rather a single bed). We talked with the manager who did not care to help us. Then we talked with the booking agency who called the manager again. He explained that in Mexico double beds start at 1 m width. The booking agency could not do anything,  as somehow the term double bed is country specific (at home it is 1.80 m, we got not more than 1.20 m). So us being both taler than 1.8m had to sleep in a tiny bed. Further negative features: We got a room on the 5th floor,  the elevator did not work. Around the hotel there is hardly anything to do. Pillows are so soft that you nearly feel like sleeping without pillows (we had to ask three times in 3 hours to get the answer that additional pillows are not possible). The gym was closed when we arrived. It is impossible to swim in the pool (rather 2 combined little pools with a platform in the middle with only a few cm water). The air in the hallways is humid, hot and sticky and there is a strong artificial smell all over the building.

DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL Absolutely a rip off hotel. It may look good from outside but when you check in and pqy, you'll suddenly realise that this hotel, 1) is very noisy 2) has almost no breakfast. Not worth for money. 3) is a rip off as other comments 4) Very dirty. Even if you tell them, they never change your bed linens 5) Rooms are very hot like sauna 6) They change your room without asking you. 7) They don't tell you or specify on booking platforms that some of the rooms don't have window

Stayed 6 nights in this hotel. Good value for the money paid . A nice roof top pool and breakfast area . The room was pleasant everything worked . The staff were friendly and spoke English. Being English that was a bonus . Only draw back was the noise from the rooms being cleaned at first light . Nothing worse than furniture being dragged across the floor in adjacent rooms . Overall good hotel I enjoyed my stay

The hotel is new and aesthetically appealing. It is located centrally but in a quiet street. It is at walking distance from bars, restaurants and Mercado 28. I booked a deluxe double room and it was spacious with a nice shower and very comfy bed. However, all these positive points are compensate by different negative aspects. First the room has a balcony facing the internal stairwell making impossible to open the curtains since everyone walking in the corridor can see inside. The room has a big desk but without a chair, there is no place for clothes and you need to put everything on the desk and this was very inconvenient for me. The room is double but there is a single towel hang. Most of all the hotel is noisy. Whatever happen in the building you can hear it in the room; people talking, opening and closing the doors, other guest going in and out from their room. This prevented me to have a good rest and was really annoying. The service is okish, sometimes I got 2 towels, sometimes 1, sometimes none. Definitely is not a coming back for me.
