About Hotel Misión Oaxaca

•  Consejo Ciudadano

•  Club Skäl

Excellent hotel in a very safe location. Considering the current environment, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They followed Covid sanitizing regulation strictly which was a relief. I wish this hotel was closer to center of the city. They used to offer shuttle service to the center, but it’s not currently running. You can take a taxi(70-9 pesos) or bus (8 pesos). The bus stop to the center square is across the street by Oxxo by the stone wall, by the stairs. The taxi can pick you up at the hotel. The neighbor is very nice, but not much to do. Maybe a couple restaurants(sushi) that close early. Hotel it self, is very clean, delicious food at the cafe, nice pool and excellent service.

I love it. Quiet, good service, cheap, a lovely view of the whole city, a nice pool and good unpretentious food. On the whole, very pleasant. Didn't sleep there, just went to the pool and restaurant.

cozy rooms. nice view to the pool. Ventilation is good. There are restaurants close and you need a car to downtown approx 10 min drive. Overall it is a nice hotel and service from the people is outstanding.

Hotel had confirmed before our reservation that they provided hourly transport downtown yet they did not have the service available and notified only upon arrival. This service is key when considering the distance to most restaraunts/locations near the zocalo. It was the reason we booked and no one in the staff did anything to find a solution. Canceling the remaining nights and never going back to any Misión Hotel.

Would like to give no stars. We paid too much for a dirty room. I would be okay if I had to pay around 400 Pesos per night because that is what they deserve for that. But not more. We arrived and then firstly saw poo of somebody else on the toilet paper, so it wasn’t useful. We really felt disgusted. The floor wasn’t clean and the shower smelled bad when you used it. The stuff for the bed wasn’t really clean, too. We felt uncomfortable sleeping and being there. Ah yes and the breakfast inclusive was the biggest joke…. Two peaces of fruits, a coffee that tastes like dirty water and some „bread“ that was sweet dessert which didn’t even taste good. And some eggs without salt and pepper and mole. I thought „you can’t do anything wrong with eggs“ but then I found out that you can even do eggs badly ?. I wouldn’t spend any cent to them anymore. We reported all these stuff and they didn’t want to refund us our money. Instead, they gave us the best room they had, a suite (which didn’t look much better, but al least they tried). Anyways wouldn’t go there NEVER IN MY LIFE AGAIN!

Very comfortable hotel, located in a relatively quiet residential neighborhood. A bit far from the city center but the hotel operates a regular shuttle into town. Rooms are clean and the whole property is well maintained. The restaurant and bar in the hotel is quite good and there is also a lovely pool and garden for relaxation and enjoyment. Would stay here again.

Time is starting to show in what one time was one of the best hotels in Oaxaca. Staff is friendly but seems like they’re always desperate for tips even if you only ask for anything even a question. I had to spend a lot of time waiting for the maintenance guy to figure out how to make the AC work. To be honest I felt that was a trick to get some money. Love the green areas, the views, the easy parking and overall cleanliness.
