★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place, ideal for privacy and having your own slice of beach. Restaurant is not very good nor fast and WiFi is so bad you shouldn't use it, but then there's no cell phone coverage here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be prepared for a little dirt and sand road out of town. Simple breakfasts of eggs and toast. Beautiful, natural beaches with fisherman passing in lanchas as they head out or back for the day. The casitas are like well-appointed duplexes with private porches though the room layout is a little strange with walking through a bedroom as the main enterance. There is a tiny pier off of the reception palapa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff when we got there were great and the room was big and beautiful but we were disappointed with the overall experience. Shortly after we arrived we realized we had no hand towels or beach towels. At that time the staff were all sitting on couches at the entrance and we seemed to be bothering them by asking for supplies. My husband speaks fluent Spanish so that was not the problem. The hotel is far from Celestun and the scooter taxis are not often out there. We asked for a taxi and they got someone from the hotel to take us to town, who overcharged us. It's that or eat at the hotel where there is only the hotel restaurant. Dinner was good but we were told when we registered that we could put dinner on our bill. When we asked to do that we were told the restaurant was separate and we had to pay cash. That was a surprise since our cash at the time was limited. Breakfast was good and our server was very friendly. Breakfast was slow which didn't bother us, we were on vacation but we had to ask several times for small things which should have been at the table or offered right away. We think the restaurant might be good in time. We found a place much closer to Celestun which was less expensive and much nicer so we only stayed one night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply AWEFUL... Secluded setting and decent beach, but property is in dire need of maintenance. Extreme bug issues... Flies, gnats, mosquitoes everywhere! Inexplicable Canadian bias... Canadian flags?? Could be nice, but very poorly managed and low standards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hotel far away from everything. Has a very nice beach where you can enjoy the beauty of the ocean. BUT the hotel itself seemed a bit of. The concept is more for families cooking for themselve, because the restaurant is just disgusting. No other way to put it. If you go there, bring your own food. There are not used to cook food meant for other people to be eaten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Relaxing, interesting resort to get away from it all, right next to the beach in a tropical environment. Staff was curterious, though did not speak much English, which will help you practice your Spanish! Rooms were very big with a nice kitchen and balcony. I would recommend to those with a family, and if you want to bring your own food. That being said the staff didn't seem to know what to do a lot of the time. There were two nice pools with only one working. There were biting annoying flies in the beach. We did have a nice, relaxing time.
