★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came in on a whim and paid for one night. It turned into two nights, then three, then four.. My whole experience here was positive and enjoyable. The desk clerk that checked me in was friendly, kind, and smart. I believe his name is Edwin. I asked for a third floor room and he obliged, then followed me up to make sure everything was in place, and operating as it should. The whole place, including the swimming pool, courtyard, and foyer, was immaculate. Oil paintings depicting regional scenes, hung in every room and hallway. It was a home away from home, and I will happily return to the Hotel San Juan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been staying at Casa San Juan in Mexico for two weeks and plan on staying until the end of February. We cannot be more complimentary of the service we've received. The manager had been been personally attentive to our needs. There is a shared kitchen which has worked out well for us. We have a room in the older section of the building. It is very large as is the modern bathroom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you suffer from insomnia that’s the place to stay for you. Otherwise, avoid at all costs!
The hotel is just next to the bar with a live music that starts playing at 22pm… and it’s very very loud. I regret we stayed here.

The price is fair and the rooms are clean. Shower isn’t good, and in a hot place like Mérida, you need a good shower.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel in general, rooms and atmosphere are all pleasant. However, we stayed here on a Saturday night and door there is a restaurant/bar where live music played until 2am. It was very loud and hard to sleep, even with ear plugs.
Although other reviews say the place is infested with cockroaches and bed bugs, we didn’t see or experience either. I checked the bed for bed bug damage - none to be found.
We moved to a different hotel (primarily because we wanted a place with a kitchen) so I don’t know if the live music is every night or just on Saturday nights.
The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice - good water pressure and heat.
