My wife and I went to Sol Y Luna the first time about a week and a half ago--Absolutely AMAZING FOOD!! Service was friendly, fast, and the place is gorgeous!! I can't recommend them highly enough!

Not staying at the hotel, but we had lunch at the restaurant today. My burger was delicious, made with ground arrachera. Toppings included lettuce, tomato, sprouts, and more. Nice and juicy. No doubt the best I've had in Ajijic--I live here and am constantly in search of a satisfying burger. Definitely will be back for more. My friend's arrachera was also juicy and perfectly cooked. The restaurant has just recently opened and it is pretty quiet. I highly recommend you swing by for some very delicious offerings.

We had a very nice dinner in the all outdoor terrace patio. We tried the salmon, the chicken and the steak dinner. The owner gave us a tour of the hotel section of the property. Great location. We will be back again. Thanks ?

Great lunch spot, excellent food, killer gin & tonics Tucked away in a sidestreet, Sol y Luna is one of those restaurants you'll never find unless someone tells you about it. Part of a spa/butique hotel setup, this place is set in the courtyard of an expansive hacienda. The atmosphere is warm, traditional, and welcoming, and the service is friendly and efficient. Prices are about what I'd expect from a higher-end establishment of this type. Pro-Tip: Pizzas and Calzones are very good, but the Sol y Luna Sandwich steals the show.

Date 7/3/2022 :0( We have had approx. 4 bad dining experiences in Lakeside.  That is a relatively good average, considering we dine out often and have  for several months.  Mondays is our worst day to venture to our favorite places.  We consistently have above average meals  at  Casa Linda's.  They are closed on Mondays, so we settled for breakfast at Sol y Luna. It was shockingly the worst!  Previously, I had taken my sweetheart there for a special dinner, so I figured it would be okay.  The pleasantries ended after the front desk greeted us.  We sat in  the outdoor area as we had previously.  The server was dryer than Lurch on the Adams Family.  We asked for green juice, which we often do.  It took a bit longer than normal, but okay,  What she brought us was a poor example of what should have been.  It had large whole seeds in it and enough solid matter that we fought to reach the flavorless  liquid.  For about 15 min. we were the only paterens. Two other customers arrived.  Our order still hadn't even been taken.  After the server helped the other customers, she took our orders. We both had simple breakfasts.  It took the kitchen about 45 minutes to prepare our meals and when they arrived everything was cold and the bottom of my pancakes were charred.  Clincher, the other guests, were served before us.  I unfortunately didn't take a picture of what I was served, but please believe it was soooooo not impressive.  Eggs, pancakes, and  dos 1 1/2 inch peices of bacon.  I ate very little of it, paid our 250 pesos with tip, and left. Yes, we still tipped our thin and tall, unapologetic waitress.

After a long day traveling we stumbled upon this beautiful hacienda hotel located in Ajijic. We were graciously welcomed by the owner who explained the room and that breakfast was included. The room was spacious and clean with a good shower pressure. Extremely quiet place with birds singing in the morning was wonderful to wake up to in our new town. Breakfast was served on the outdoor patio at 9 am. Only a small issue with the room, no coffee pot! For early risers! The early morning staff arrived at 6.30 am so they graciously made us coffee to take to our room. I certainly recommend staying here, a place for families and friends with a pool centered just outside your door makes for a restful vacation even if it's one night while your condo is being prepared ?
