La Casa del Waffle inició por el gusto de desayunar fuera de casa y probar distintos conceptos. Mientras nuestros fundadores desayunaban, analizaban fortalezas y debilidades, visualizando el restaurante de sus sueños: un lugar único y diferente de lo que existía en la Industria Restaurantera.
Apostando todo su patrimonio, busca entre las recetas de auténticos Waffles Belgas y platillos complementarios. Desarrollaron un concepto especializado en Waffles, Desayunos y servicios de Calidad. Así es como en 1997 abre sus puertas La casa del Waffle Ajijic, la cual desde el inicio rebasa las expectativas de sus fundadores. En 1998 repiten el éxito con La Casa del Waffle Chapalita y en el año 2000 con La Casa del Waffle Providencia, superando en dimensiones a sucursales anteriores.
Hoy en día cuenta con 13 sucursales, gozando de su reconocimiento y prestigio, siendo una opción rentable en franquicias a lo largo y ancho del país.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good for what it is, a chain. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican or family owned dining experience, look elsewhere. Seemed to be mostly families with kids. Beautiful patio and building though. Food was ok, nothing special. I recommend La Cafeteria across the street for a more authentic experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my first time here. The environment and the venue are amazing. I had their specialty which it was the Waffle Sandwich Belga. It was too soft for a waffle. As a sandwich, it tasted alright, but it wasn’t great. It was also too cold. I will give it another try; hopefully it’s a different experience. I will keep you posted.

However this place did meet my expectations and excel by having things in the menu that are part of the Mexican cuisine. I ordered via Uber eats and the picture may not do some juice to the quality of their food. Now I am looking forward to try it in person at the restaurant since the food was so good I am willing to try it again.
I gave 4 starts because I ordered online delivery and have not being at the place to experience the whole siting on the table.

This is a great stop if you're feeling homesick for some classic American breakfast or want to try some excellently cooked Mexican breakfast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's not my first time here, but visiting again after many years. There's a very rich variety of dishes to choose from. I think it's only for breakfast time.
I tried the chilaquiles verdes and the hotcakes selva negra. All the plates are very well served, it's a large portion, so if you don't eat much you might want to share. Chilaquiles are really good, the tortilla chip is not soft and not super crunchy, just in the middle and the sauce is well balanced too. The hotcakes are really soft and are not sweet but you can taste the chocolate flavour. A good amount of strawberries accompany the three layers of hotcakes with whipped cream (crema Chantilly) that is bathed in a sweet strawberry sauce.
The food took a lot of time to be served, probably 20 minutes and they didn't serve the coffee at least.
The waiters try to do their best and the service that they provide is good, you can see that they are trying to do their best and they are in a good mood.
I recommend and will visit again
