My son had an abscessed tooth and the doctor came in on his day off to help him. Great customer service and amazing care.

After having had a less than satisfactory experience with a local Tucson periodontist, a friend suggested I consider Dr. Tardaguila. After a little online research, I discovered a very highly rated practice that has better, more modern equipment than my previous periodontist. But what was most impressive for me was that I ended up with a much better solution to my gum problems - one that took care of the persistent issues after two treatments. The proceedures are generally half or less than half of what you'll pay in Tucson. The office is super modern and the staff couldn't be friendlier. As for traveling to Nogales for treatment, probably the number one turn off for those unfamiliar, it is a non-issue, plain and simple. Drive down, park for $4 in the first main lot on the right as you come into town, and stroll across the border. Dr. T's office is a short 2 1/2 blocks from entry. On your way back, don't get in a hurry as the line can get long. Ignore the elderly people breaking in line - it's the custom. I use my passport for ID but I think a valid driver's license works too. All-in-all, I have nothing but the highest regard for Dr. Tardaguila and his team of professionals. They have provided a very favorable experience - my gums thank them!

12 years ago I got a quote in the U.S for $10 - 12k. I interviewed 6 Dentist in nogales, Dr. Tardaguila was one I asked for an estimate, his detail in explaining what was recommended and involved was the best. I went with another, being they were in the same building as the dentist I had chosen to do the bridge work. Shortcuts were taken and the implants failed after 4 years. I went back to Dr. Tardaguila. He not only remembered me, he remembered what he had recommended and went to his files for confirmation. That impressed me. The bone graft and implants he performed have service me well since, and about 1/2 the quoted price north of the border.

I highly recommend Dr. Tardaquila, something I rarely do. After hearing multiple horror stories from friends and acquaintances in the U.S. who had been to the "best" for their implants, I decided to fly to Nogales (actually Tucson with an easy drive south to Nogales, then a short walk from the border) where I had had some excellent major dental work done in the past (other dentists)...better than all but a few I'd visited in the States and at a fraction of the cost. Dr. Tardaguila's staff were very helpful in making accommodations around my schedule, and the entire experience was first-rate. The doctor himself is one of the kindest, gentlest I've met in my many years, and his work was something of a miracle for me. I have a very low pain threshold, so I was expecting some during or after the surgery. I was pleasantly shocked to have none, even though he had had to fracture the sinus and "lift" it in order to get one of the implants properly in place. The morning after the surgery, the only evidence I had was the few stitches I could feel with my tongue...no pain at all! When my regular dentist took xrays months later, he found the implants had perfectly healed in with new bone surrounding them. You may find others in Nogales who would do this sort of work at a bit lower cost, but I can't imagine finding anyone better.

Dr. Tardaguila and his staff are very professional and so nice and they speak english. Dr. Tardaguila's office is very modern and has all the equipment you will find in a similar office in the USA. My case is very complicated and in the USA it would cost me 10 times what Dr. Tardaguila is charging me. I highly reccommend Dr. Tardaguila, you wont be dissapointed.
