★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 100 pesos pr visit. One treadmill (upstairs). None of the spinningbikes work. The metal plates in the weight machines and the free weights are so rusted (from the salty sea air?) its impossible to read the weight numbers. Fortunately some have the weigjt spraypainted on. The staff and people are friendly. Loud inspirational.music.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love working out at Iron Abs Gym. The owner is a certified trainer, speaks English well and is a nice guy. He helps out if you ask for help or leaves you alone if you want to do your own thing. The gym has recently undergone lots of improvements to the equipment and the location. The vibe is friendly and the music is motivating. There’s also an upstairs section that is air-conditioned and has a fairly new treadmill along with hand weights, benches and a few machines. Most of the serious stuff is downstairs. I definitely recommend this gym.

Still, at 150 pesos per visit, the most expensive gym I've been to in two months in Mexico, and for a gym with no cardio equipment and no squat racks! Not worth it imho - go to gym tonic round the corner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For my workouts and current fitness goals, this gym could not be more perfect. It had everything I use for a workout (I focus mostly on upper body weightlifting). I wish I could have made it there more during my time on Isla Mujeres. I’ll be sure to be back one day and recommend to anyone coming to the island. Be sure to bring a towel with you!
