KAYAK Luna Playa del Carmen - 77710 Playa del Carmen

The Marquee is a very nice boutique hotel. The designs are sleek and modern when first entering. They have an iPAD to check in on and an attentive front desk who speaks english as well. The front desk showed us to our rooms and gave us a tour inside (which might not be the best considering COVID times but appreciate the hospitality). The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, sheets were soft, and the room was spacious for 2 people (we had the king bedroom). Room looked just like the pictures. We did not experience the pool or rooftop bar because the bar was not open yet so can't speak on that too much. The are was kind of smaller than I'd like it to be but still nice. I will say when we checked in there was an issue in price (I was supposed to stay at the Calixta down the street but it was closed during COVID) but it was remediated quickly and thoroughly! So customer service here is top notch. All employees wore masks and there was hand sanitizer present at the front desk. We did not have housekeeping come in our rooms during out stay due to COVID. One con is what other reviews wrote below me: noise. The walls are thin and you can hear all the noise outside and inside the hotel. There was a bar with a live band our first night so we could hear all of that and just people talking outside so if you are a light sleeper this might not be the best place. Other than that our stay was perfect!

Very nice & friendly staff. Fresh breakfast. Tiny pool on the top. New rooms and very comfy beds. Location is good to explore Playa del Carmen by foot. It is app a 10min walk to the beach. The only problem is the closed by clubs & bars. So it gets noisy during the nights

Fantastic! Great location, Great Food & Great People. It’s small but that’s okay. Great music playing. It’s quiet which I like, there was around 4 people there when we were there. 75 pesos for a beer. FAST INTERNET. Nice sunbeds in the water.

this hotel is not good,, they have loud music on the rooftop all afternoon and night,, ask them to turn it down and they do nothing.. they bother all the area around.. stay away

I stayed here 2 years ago before the pandemic and the service was great. Excellent breakfast menu and variety was great I just returned and hotel is under different administration. They changed breakfast menu no very good. No options. The drinks was not the same. They have a unique signature of Maria Felix. They had a drink call that as well . They don't have it anymore. Not sure if I would stay here again.

Worst night of my life. They waited until I checked in to tell me that the pipe was broken in my room and I couldn’t use the water…how do you rent a room with no water? Then they began fixing the pipe at 11pm. Metal on metal drilling right below my room that lasted until 4am. I didn’t sleep at all. They refused to refund my room…or even apologize for that matter. Also the food was ??? (I’m not a picky eater at all but the ceviche was giant pieces of limp raw shrimp). Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.

Beautiful rooftop bar with a kind and helpful staff. Came for a special party on the roof and it was amazing energy! Didn't get to stay at the hotel.
