★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place used to be the border between Quintana Roo and Yucatan states and you had to pass customs because imported items that you could find here were not allowed into Yucatan or the rest of the country without paying taxes. Nowadays is more like any other small town, but you can still find edam cheese, danish cookies, Milo chocolate powder, tiptop cheese and some other food and Chinese items. Only if you are passing by and you want to take advantage of being there, you can stop to buy some snacks or wires or caps or Chinese items only that you know that you can find them anywhere in Mexico
