Kore Tulum Retreat and Spa Resort - 77780 Tulum

4 just cause nothing is perfect, but after I had booked this I read reviews and was nervous about other reviewers saying the food sucked and the drinks sucked, etc... And was nervous about my purchase but this place was so relaxing, the staff was always kind and eager to get you what you wanted. The food was much better than reviews would lead you to believe, and the rooms were very nice. Overall it is a great laid back atmosphere, and with the included bike rentals you can get to the beaches or town very easily if need be, however I found myself just wanting to lounge around and forget about my troubles.

TRAVELER BEWARE: this hotel does not answer their phones and will take your money. I booked my stay here months ago and had to cancel a month before staying here. Before I canceled they were hardly helpful. They don’t offer to help with transport to and from the airport like most hotels in the area. Nonetheless I’ve been trying to cancel my stay here for a month with no response other than to contact my booking provider (Expedia) who also could not get anyone to respond to them via phone, email, etc. They’ve stolen my money and refuse to issue it back to me. This place is a scam and customer service is beyond terrible. Luckily CC company is handling but felt I’d share this with prospective travelers who are curious about staying here. No way they’re 5 stars. A motel would have better service than this place. Unfortunately heard the rumors about this and found out they’re true the hard way. Really disappointed as I was excited to come here but after this, never again.

The music is outdated and not relaxing. Small *portions of food, so we needed to order so much food to compensate and the staff seemed always irritated by my request. The crepe lady was nice, but bartenders are very rude, go and see for yourself. For the price there should be free wifi in the rooms but there wasn’t except in the lobby. *No direct access to the beach!!!! The nearest is 16min walk. You can get what you want but you have to keep asking and it feels like you are making an imposition. For the price of this place, and its label as “all-inclusive” it should feel more relaxing, and a retreat. They have bathtubs in the room which is a pro. You just don’t feel very welcome here.

We just stayed at KORE for 2 weeks. It was perfect. Nice food and drinks. Room service till 1am. All the staff was super kind and nice. Everything clean. Don’t understand the bad reviews! Super nice hotel and we will come back for sure. Thank you for the best service ?

We had a comfortable stay when we came in December. The AC worked well and the room was clean upon arrival. A few things were bothersome during our stay. One was the jacuzzi not being cleaned prior. There were times when the food took so long to arrive to our room, we had to call them again an hour later because they had forgotten our order. The next was the spa. We made a reservation the day before and we were told to arrive 20-30 minutes early so we had time to change and relax in the hot tub before our massages. We got there 15 minutes early and they said to go change and get in the jacuzzi/sauna because the people before us were still in their session. 45 minutes later and we still weren’t called to our session and when we asked they said that the people before us were STILL in their session. We picked up and left. We planned our whole day around this booking and it wasn’t even worth it; completely unprofessional. While waiting we also overheard other guests who scheduled a session and the front desk receptionist never wrote their names down when they said they had signed up for one only an hour prior. I think they don’t handle or work with the guests well at all. Besides this downside, we did have a comfortable stay, the people were nice and helpful.

If you are used to 5 star luxury this is not the resort for you. This resort is advertised as 5 star but I would give it a strong 3 at best. The rooms lacked the finishes and touches a of 5 start hotel. We had an out door jacuzzi that we wanted to use but couldn’t because it took more than an hour to fill half way up. The water pressure in the jacuzzi and shower was not strong. Additionally after every room cleaning we were left with out wash cloths and always had to call down for more. The shower and tub were also very dated. The hotel it’s self needs a face lift in many areas. The one restaurant was okay - again not truly a 5 star experience. The staff was great- Luis was an amazing bar tender and the activities instructor was awesome. We found ourselves leaving the resort daily for food and activities.

The rooms were awesome, the resort was very well maintained, the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, the food was delicious and of course the drinks were never ending! We had such a great time and met some incredible people. I would highly recommend Kore to anyone looking to get away and relax. It's not a party resort, so if that what you're looking for this might not be for you. Getting to take the bicycles out and ride around was great! Thank you all at Kore Tulum for making my wife and my vacation so great! See you all again soon!

I was on my spring break trip with my partner and this place is by far amazing all of the amenities,staff,food are great. We stayed for 4 days and the staff was so accommodating when it came to finding things to do. They recommended bars in the area and tours to go on. One thing that I appreciated was the efficiency of taxis provided by the resort. If we wanted to go out any time of night they were able to contact a taxi to come pick us. Overall the experience was great the staff members were incredibly hospitable from the chefs,bartenders,front office staff, and room service. Thank you guys for making us feel welcome!!!!
