★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great experience! Our guide Elsie was spectacular - really interesting, fun and engaging -especially with the kids (in both English and Spanish)
The ball game was really the peak of the experience those guys are -
AWESOME!
It’s both fun and educational for kids and adults. I found it was very well thought out and there’s a lot of attention to detail.
I did not mind at all giving a couple dollars along the way at the different stations to show my appreciation for the effort of everyone involved in putting this thing together. Never felt any pressure at any point to give extra money.
Don’t miss this experience if you come to Cozumel!
Help support the local economy and the preservation of history and culture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely loves this excursion! There were 18 people in our group. We enjoy the tour of the little village, the ancient ball game, the ceremonies, the dancers, and the meal. Every single person gave their absolute best so we would feel welcome. Shout out the Pedro the tour guide who picked us up and gave the whole damn tour. Bring cash for tips and souvenirs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mosquitos were everywhere, the tour itself was pretty lame. You listen to an old "Mayan" priest say a bunch of stuff no one can understand while sitting on bricks. They don't translate for you either. You then find out how the Mayan people ate, cooked, grew crops, built houses, and raised animals. (Pretty much the same way everyone did it back then) It was hot the whole time (2 hours) and the bugs were literally swarming around us. Every one we splat, spewed blood on us. It was miserable and I wanted to leave asap. I would recommend reading about this stuff if you're actually interested in learning Mayan history. Nothing was original, or historic and the employees seemed uninterested in what they were doing (basically performing). Save some time and money and go to a nice restaurant with a view, or hit the beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just went here this week as they just reopened. They are a 20 minute ride from. The cruise port. With our excursion they picked us up right across the street from the Port. They called us the morning of to make sure we knew where and when. They were kind and the cultural experience was wonderful. I loved watching the Mayan ball game, it's so different then I imagined. There was a Shaman blessing. They also showed us how to make Mayan corn tortillas, tamales, and chocolate. They also had a tequila tasting, but we don't drink so we just watched. There was a buffet lunch and during the lunch they did traditional dances from several places. It was all well done and a great experience. They allow and even encourage pictures and offered to take pictures for free but expect to bring some money for tipping.
