★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to love this cantina. Classic saloon-style doors, dark wood, lots of mezcals. But, yikes, the prices are like NYC. I get that SMdeA has been anglicized and prices are inflated, but caveat emptor, baby! My travel partner and I each had a simple shot of mezcal followed by a Modelo (beer) for him and a shot of tequila for me. In other words, all local, nothing imported; not a meticulously crafted cocktail between us. Price? US$30. Seriously ridiculous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite bars if you're sick of the fancy rooftops and looking for that fun Mexican cantina experience, complete with swinging doors and lots of San Miguel memorabilia on the walls.
Small place with tons of atmosphere, friendly staff, easy drinks (think beer not fancy cocktails) and often you'll have some local singers swing by to serenade you with Mexican favorites.
