★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were great, really friendly, spoke good English and happy to explain the menu and recommend dishes. They had craft beer available which the staff were knowledgeable about. The venue was lovely with Mexican tiles etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the few actual fine dining places in oaxaca, much rather go here than a tourist trap with just “ok”food like casa oaxaca.. every single thing I’ve tried on the menu has been excellent but I think the pork ribs in yellow mole are my favorite. Just have to resist going here every other day ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was good and well-prepared. There were a number of things not available from their menu, but that is not unusual. Service was slow, they forgot one main course and delivered an appetizer (entrada) after the main courses. Still, all-in-all, delicious enough to warrant a return. WARNING, no notice on the menu or at the front that they don’t accept credit cards, but they don’t, so bring cash.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience. Typical Oaxaca cuisine. During COVID there is only one waitress, so do not expect service to the the fastest, however you never feel forgotten. The patio in the back is very private and cozy. The highlight of the night was the Zandunga.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long a favorite for a different dinner in Oaxaca, we were happy to go back after their move. While the menu has been pared back, we found several of our favorite dishes still on the menu, and enjoyed them very much. Our timing was good, and we were served promptly. Look forward to going back, and hope that the menu is expanded when they can do so.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walking distance from my hotel, clean, excellent COVID protocols, happy, friendly, attentive staff, clean tables, spacious rooms, prices reasonable for tourists, great drinks, my dish was excellent. Looks like a mole, but with a guava based sauce., nuts and white rice. I would definitely go back. Clean, clean restrooms. Enjoy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot a bit out of the way of the central part of the city. Great mezcal margarita, hibiscus cone (yum!!) and squash blossom quesadilla. I was happy to be able to buy each item a la carte as many places here have more robust portions so this was a nice light option that allowed me to try these popular items in smaller portions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ exquisite food, excellent service. Stumbled upon this place by chance but the owner was extremely kind and accommodating. Try the fresh pulque and the mamey ice cream. Great for vegetarians / vegans too!
